We hype up the Big 3 opposition in Slams. But EVERY SINGLE time we are proven to be WRONG. Big 3 ALWAYS prevail.
Below are some examples:
  • Thiem in AO 2020 Final : Should have WON. But CRUMBLED with the pressure vs Novak.
  • Medvedev AO 2021 Final: Oddsmaker favorite. Even betting favorite. Did NOT even get a set vs Novak. Embarrassing display.
  • Mevedev UsOpen 2019 Final: Crumbled against Nadal.
  • Kevin Anderson vs Nadal UsOpen 2017 Final
  • Kevin Anderson vs Djokovic Wimb 2018 Final
  • Marin Cillic vs Federer at AO Final
  • Marin Cillic vs Federer at Wimbledon

I will NEVER bet against a Big 3 in a slam FINAL. In this case, Novak has NEVER been beaten by a Next Gen in a Slam final. Hell, even if he played 11 hours in the SF - he would still be the favorite.

Against this Stefanos' track record:
  • Tsitsipas has NEVER made a slam Final
  • He is 5-7 in the ATP finals that he has played. Which is BAD record even for a next Gen.
  • Played 5 sets in the SF so physically and mentally exhausted.
  • Not known to be a mentally strong player.
So PLEASE STOP hyping up Stefanos. Novak is the HEAVY favorite. Tsitsipas would be lucky to even make a competitive match. Except something similar to AO 2021 Final.

I would agree but they did go 5 here last year, so it’s not the same shellshocked feeling as Thiem or Med who had never gone that deep in the AO before or played him there.

and Tsitsipas’ service game win% is even higher than Berrettini’s who botted his way into forcing a 4th set and nearly winning that one. If he gets into a zone serving Djokovic will struggle.

So he definitely has a chance, much better than Zverev would have for example. But yeah, if both players execute to their reasonable ability, Djokovic will win

I don't like his chances, but never say never. He has beaten Novak before, and he could always do it again.

How exactly? I don't really follow. He has lost more than 60% of the finals he has EVER played.
How will he even make this match competitive. He was almost out vs Zverev.

Tsitsipas is really good, but the difference is the mental game, Novak already been there and done that. He knows when to push the right buttons at the right time in best of 5.

That is exactly what I'm saying: Never.
He's lost to Novak last 5 times. Rivalry is 5-2 for Novak.

Medvedev came into AO 2021 having beaten Novak 3 times and did not even win a set.

Titpsas has lost a lot of FINALS in his career. 5-7 loss rate, which is really bad as includes 250 events. Which shows he is a worse player in finals than he is earlier in the tournament.

And Nole was almost out against Musetti. Did you predict an injury for the young Italian?

Tsitsipas will make it competitive if he can get into Nole's service games. I think Novak will be sharp from the get-go, but if there is one part of his game that might indicate fatigue, it may be his serve.

Let's see. What I've always seen is that Novak brings his A+ game in slam finals.

Ya! Lies and statistics, and the lies in statistics...

2018 - Tsitsipas lost to Nadal (Barcelona)
2018 - Tsitsipas lost to Nadal (Canadian Masters)
2019 - Tsitsipas lost to Federer (Dubai)
2019 - Tsitsipas lost to Djokovic (Madrid)
2020 - Tsitsipas lost to Djokovic (Dubai)
2020 - Tsitsipas lost to Rublev (Hamburg)
2021 - Tsitsipas lost to Zverev (Mexico)
2021 - Tsitsipas lost to Nadal (Barcelona)

The lie is that he doesn't play as well in finals as he plays earlier. That may be true (I haven't watched too many of his finals), but that may not be why he lost. Maybe he lost because he played one of the Big 3, everywhere but Hamburg and Mexico.

And just so you know: he is 7-9 in finals!

First time for everything. No Nadal in final probably gives Tsitsipas huge confidence.
Also Djokovic comments in Rome may actually come back to bite. If im Tsitsipas dad i am using them as fuel. Id be saying forget winning the trophy just concentrate on shutting Djokovic up.
Ever since Djokovic opened his mouth in Rome Next Gen do seem to have shown more steel.
I have Djokovic in 4 but would not be surprised to see Tsitsipas win this.

Sissy is no Delpo or Wawrinka. I’m not that anxious going into the match...maybe a little bit because of what’s at stake.

This actually, I agree with. I give Tsitsipas a decent shot (surprise me, NextGen), but Nole is Nole. Which means he's Big 3, and they don't lose to anybody without an 'R' in their name (Juan Martín del Potro , Murray, Wawrinka), except for each other.

Agreed. How can we bet on someone who has never made a slam final? Of course he can win, but betting on him is risky. I guess if you have money to burn and like a risk, could be fun.

Probably biggest since Bruguera bt Courier in 1993
Well, I wasn't that surprised for that. I still remember watching the entire thing on TV. Bruguera was a great clay courter.
Bruguera >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Titspas and other next gen MUGS.
Also Novak >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Courier.

Courier was a great player then. He was dominating the tour at that time. Id never heard of Bruguera until that match. Interestingly courier beat bruguera in rome that year.

True. But Stefanos has both things going against him:

1) Bruguera was a much better clay court player. I used to affectionately call him " The burger". He was also mentally stronger than Titspas who chokes like a little girl.
2) Courier was a great player. But Novak is on another planet. He is a superhuman freak of nature.

So Titspas is a weaker Bruguera who is against an opponent 10x better than Courier. Good luck to the Greek. I just hope he doesn't embarrass himself. LOL.

The sun literally is only power that may stop Novak. But like you i cannot see anything other than Djokovic winning.
