New Adidas Barricade 2023

Just got a pair of these (teal/neon yellow).

They look great and they are certainly more comfortable/WAY better fitting heel than the previous gen.

Unfortunately they seem to fit short. TW says the fit is true but not for me. Anyone else having an issue with the sizing?

I've looked at the size chart on Adidas' website and TWE. They do run short compared to other brands. You'll have more luck getting your correct size by measuring the length of your feet in centimetres and working from there. At least that's what I did, and I wouldn't have been able to put my foot in the shoe if I hadn't done so and blindly ordered my usual size (EU45 vs. EU46 2/3, two increments up).

Eventually I decided to send them back regardless because I thought the price wasn't right. I'm aware shoes are more expensive than before, but I'm still not willing to spend that kind of money on a pair of shoes.

Thanks for the advice. Ive since gone to the Ubersonic 4.1 which run a bit more true to size and are a good shoe (although sole durability isn't great).

I love these new Barricades, my first pair now that Adidas removed their giant name on the inside of the shoe and made these breathable with venting. I found that so unappealing I would not purchase previous versions. Waiting for more colors in the clay version, I hate the existing color but had to have a pair so I bought them. These are by far my favorite shoes out of my collection, (asics, yonex, lotto). When are more colors in clay version coming?

How are these sizing up? I am usually a UK 11.5 in barricade. Ideally I wouldn't want it loose but hearing they are coming in feeling shirt for some. For reference I purchased some solematch bounce control in a UK 11.5 and they were small, too short. Definitely not the normal Adidas UK11.5 length. I see the design of the upper is similar to the solematch control. Do they have more support and a shank in the sole?

I wear a 9.5 US and they fit perfect as all other 9.5's. Not familiar with the "soultatch" or other barricades, these are my first pair but will buy more if they can get some different colors in the clay version. I only buy clay version shoes as we only play on clay in SW FL.

They're the same length, the new ones have more padding on the heel so they feel tighter. In my experience they just loosened up fine the first time I played in them but for some they might need to half size up.

The midsole etc is the same. The only reason I think they fit differently at all is because there's a lot more padding on the achilles area. Generally just more plush

Looks like TW has new model of Barricade 13, wating for "clay" model of Barricade 13. Just ordered black clay last season from E Bay.

Just grabbed these on clearance. First Barries for me since way back. Decent colourway and this silhouette looks much better on foot than in pictures.
Didn't seem like the new 13s are worth paying full price for when these were going cheap.
