New adidas Barricades will be laceless!

Just seen on a basketball shoe review site (we artesters.com) that the adidas barricade is coming back in 2020 with Bounce cushioning and laceless construction.

The renders looks like a mid/high top with a neoprene bootie and very thin midsole.

And hella ugly.

I really hope the real thing is better

I tried picturing the pros with them on, and I couldn't. The design is too insane for me haha but possibly by this time next year they'll be the norm kind of like how AirPods became the norm.

That is one of the ugliest shoes I have ever seen.

If it is real that is.

The renders look pretty close to classic Adidas catalogue layout so I have a horrible feeling they are real!

I don't see how a laceless construction will be seen as a pro to more competitive players. Laces let you cinch down exactly where you need it.

Wow. They look too warm and too unstable to function in tennis. And probably hard to get into. Not sure what the idea is and why. Were laces really that big a hindrance to shoes?

I cant say I'm a big fan of the design, but I do like a neoprene bootie. The old Nike Hurraches, and the revised Oscillate they made a couple years ago were a couple of my favorite shoes ever!
