New Alpha Axis Pro or used Prince Neos 1500?

Hey everyone! I’m looking into getting myself a machine and initially I was going to get the Alpha brand new. Looked online and saw that somebody nearby was selling a used (hardly used) prince neos 1500 for $1100. I was wondering which machine would be better and if that’s a good price for a used Neos? Thank you.

I would say the table for the Neos is more sturdy just based on pictures. I haven’t used the alpha but the table on it does not look to be super high quality. The alpha would save you a bit of money that could be invested in strings. The Neos will have better resale value. FWIW I sold a new in box one a while back for $1250 shipped.

(y) Neos 1500 has a more robust turntable and better clamps. Sample of one and with proviso that it comes with everything.

TBH, you will not regret either machine. Both will do the job. The only minor issue is customer support and warranty. If you are a 'worrier,' get the Alpha.

I agree on the service. For the Neos you’d be with tennis machines who are great but who truly knows about part availability? With Alpha it’s Mark and he’s THE guy. He’s super responsive and super knowledgeable.

The base clamps on the Neos are going to be MUCH nicer.

At that price, I'd go for the Neos (which is apparently nearly new).

Nothing wrong with the Alpha, but i consider the Neos a solid step above the alpha in every aspect.

Get in touch with Clarke Distributing - they have a ton of used NEOS' for dirt cheap.

I'm not sure if I should make a new post, but I haven't actually bought it yet. Someone I know would be able to get me a Tourna 600 ES at cost for $1600. Would the extra 600 be worth it or does anyone have any experience with the Tourna 600?

Full disclosure, I don’t have experience with the Tourna 600 ES, but I would still snap up the NEOS without hesitation. If you’re dying to spend more $, add a WISE head to the NEOS.

Again, the base clamps on the NEOS 1500 are far superior to those on the Tourna (which appears to be a fine machine for the most part).

I also prefer a linear gripper to a rotary gripper (as found on the tourna machine).
