They call the shirts 'Cherry Tomato' not the shoes. The 'Orange/White' shoes are matching gear with Novak's orange outfits, not the ascis spring collection. Lacoste named the color 'Mexico w/White' to be precise.

I guess people have slightly different perception of colors. To me, it's deep orange, definitely not red.

I know what you mean but you should have purchased them half size down. They are very roomy and feel super wide on the midfoot area which is sth that lots of people where asking....the don’t have the glove feel of vapors for example or even barricades. On the other hand they are the perfect shoes for people like me that have plantar fachiitis and Achilles pain....they are very soft with best shock absorption on the market. People who were preferring basketball shoes because of the extra cushion now they finally have their tennis shoe!! I was an ASICS follower for 5 years (speed and resolution) and none of their shoes protected me from my heel pain neither securely locked down my feet. Unfortunately you can’t have it all and on that stage of my "tennis career" i prefer my feet’s health over best on court performance!

I agree with you, should have opted for 1/2 size down, would probably be a better fit.
I also agree with the softness comment, in fact, they feel too soft to me. Barricade 2018 Boost felt perfect in that area and now the FF2 feel like they meet all requirements for me.
They just match my red shirts for ASICS perfectly. And the only people calling them orange is TW... and Lacoste calls it Mexico red. I agree that it has orange in but it’s more red than my speed ffs

I am certain given the relationship that Asics has with Novak and Lacoste that they coordinate their colors to be very very close. I have both of the shoes and the shirts and I can confirm the color is a red orange.

I currently play with the court ff. They are by far the best shoe I have ever owned. I wear them daily even when I don't play tennis. I just found them at a good price( considering buying 3). Are the new version with the extra money? I know it is personal preference but I am torn.

I can't answer this specifically for you, but I would say this: if you have a shoe that is your absolute favorite ever, buy a bunch of them. Chances are, they changed something in the FF 2 that you're not going to care for. If you can buy three pairs of the old one at a great price, you're not going to regret it.
I still wish I had bought more Gel Resolution 4s back in the day, and other people are kicking themselves for not stocking up on Zoom Vapor 9.5s. My brother still talks about his Barricade 2s. Don't be like us!
And the orange matches the red orange shirt from the spring collection for reference

I am using UNIQLO since 2013 and happy with it so have not had a chance to check out other brands.
However, the FF2 is awesome. Put about 10 hours on them, 2 hours last night here in the Bay Area with some super good players and the shoes are totally awesome.
Cannot wait to get the blue ones (AO) this weekend!

Wanted to chime in on sizing. I normally wear a size 10 for the Gel Resolutions and Solution Speeds. I went with a 9.5 in the Court FF after trying size 10. I wasn't sure if this was the case for the FF 2s. I just tried 9.5 versus 10. The 9.5 felt really secure. The 10 felt roomy for not as secure. So I'm sticking with the 9.5.

I played in the FF2 for 2.5 hours tonight - cushioning felt on par, if not better. That being said, the top of the forefoot is not as comfortable yet. I realize that the shoe has added stability so it's tougher, and maybe it needs to be broken in more, but it was just wasn't as nice as the FF. We'll see after the next session.

Okay, follow-up to previous post. The plasticy parts over the toes are forefoot are are stiff. This leads to a funky bend/crease of my right shoe, right around the ball joint of my big toe - which also leads to the weird clicking. Playing today, it happened for a bit and then seemed to loosen up maybe? I couldn't stand this in the Speed FF and uncomfortable. This seems different. Shoes are still really comfortable, I move well in them, not sure if I like them better than the Court FF or not.
Court FF2 are easier to get on for sure, with the downside that the booty isn't quite as automatically secure. Court FF2 lacing is a bit stiffer, so hopefully that loosens up as well.

It will. These are the most comfortable fit I have ever had. Pitty they are not as cushioned as the Zoom Zeros. If they had more plush cushioning under the forefoot I would buy a bunch. I know that these are not designed to be a big cushioning shoe. Can’t have everything I know.

I really don’t get how Asics took the decision to limit availability of the best looking tennis shoes since pretty much ever, but floods the market with the ok-ish at best black/yellow and the girly looking white/orange.
Asics execs are freaking stupid. I’m not gonna buy the black/yellow and girly orange that’s for sure. But I’d get two pairs right now if tennis-only would accept to ship to Canada. I’d probably buy 3 pairs if they were available locally.
I seriously don’t understand the strategy behind this. They invest millions in Djokovic but limit the production on the endorsed model and limit sales across borders to really **** customers off.
Stupid move. If Asics didn’t make such great shoes I’d boycott them for life.

I believe the AO event was way before the FF2 North America release date, therefore, they could not sell them outside AU. By the time the release date was reached (May 1), they felt like the blue model was "old".
I actually love the orange ones, do not care for the black ones.
I do like the "women's" version though, so I ordered me a pair of those (+1.5 size). ASICS gave me 25% off because they screwed up on my AO order in April...

Might explain why. Still it is the best looking shoe in a very long while and they did not offer it worldwide. They make so many ugly ones with weird color combo. Major ball drop in my opinion.
The women version looks awesome and I bought a pair for my gf. I don’t think I would wear it though, the pink is a bit much.
on the pathetic girly shoe comment. You’d think there’d be more confidence in ones manhood that a color of shoe doesn’t define it. The “orange” shoe matches his Mexico red Lacoste shirt so it changes color depending on sun or bright lights. Also women tend to wear coral. Like the Wilson rush But ok.

I was looking at the orange court FF on my computer and my gf looked at the screen. Her first words were wow these are nice shoes for me. I then informed her it was men shoes and said well they look like women shoes. Maybe in real life they look red, but on a screen or on Djoker on tv, they look light orange/coral.
I know color has no gender and all that. Enjoy your shoes. I know the sales for the orange will be terrible. The local buyer here who runs 3 tennis shop didn’t order any because he too felt the color wouldn’t appeal to his customers. I’m sure if we had access to Asics sales stats that we could see that men won’t really buy these light orange shoes.
I will wait for a color that I like. I still can’t believe Asics didn’t milk all it could from the awesome looking blue. But they have to follow Lacoste color choice with Djoko so not entirely their fault if you look like you stole your gf’s shoes on your way to the courts. Lol just pulling you leg.

Your gf must feel everything Rafa owns would look good on her too! I think the color is great. Im fact I get approached by females more wearing brighter colors, fun dates out of the whole thing as well. So please keep the dark colors. I don’t need the competition right now. There’s orange shirts on tennis channel right now the other team has a guy wearing the ASICS shirt that matches the shirt when sitting on top of each other

You are not getting the point though. Besides a handful of very manly guys like you that get all the top models at the tennis courts, very few will buy the little girl colored Court FF. Asics could have sold a bunch of blue Court FF but decided to discontinue the model early. The local shops don’t even carry the coral court FF
It sucks because the cool blue model was offered in limited numbers and only in certain regions.

This was my first time purchasing and wearing Asics so it took me 2 returns to get the size I needed! Originally order 8.5 in men for the black/red/yellow version but it was to huge. Returned and exchanged it for size 8 and it was still too big for me. Third times the charm and the 7.5 fitted me perfectly but I realized I didn't like the black version anymore and exchanged it again for the women color and low and below it becoming my favorite shoe so far.
So basically.. Asics men size 7.5 = women size 8.5 for me.
No complaints here!

Every Nike I've worn has been size 8.5 (men) so that's why I originally purchase the Asics Court FF2 in size 8.5 thinking it was true to size but in this case it wasn't for me.

I have been playing for 10 years and Barricades were by go to tennis shoe. Enjoyed the soft heel and upper in 17-18 Boost Barricades, but the arch got firmer and was bothering. Now SoleCourt Boost is super comfortable everywhere BUT too wide up front and I do not feel secure at all in my movement, having to over tighten laces and still width issues.
I like the Gel Resolution 7s okay, but seems like traction on green clay gets compromised early once they wear down a little. Wondering how the Court FF2 pattern holds up on green clay.
Comfort is always welcome, but the most important issue for me is stability, esp. preventing ankle roll.

In the video around 2:15 when Michelle twists the shoe a bit, I notice quite a bit of plastic in there. My Gel Res 6 have some soft material in the middle upper and that feels good and comfortable.
My daughter uses Gel Res 7 and while that seems to have more plastic, when I feel them inside with my hand they also feel nice and soft. Just trying to see if there is any plasticy feel to these ?
The review praises these shoes, so I guess I might not see them on sale anytime soon :-( so it might be a moot point, but would be good to know.

I assume you don’t have the clay sole on your Res 7’s. That clay sole works great on Har-Tru courts.
