New Asics Court FF 2

Do these run big? I usually wear a 9.5 or 10 but the 10 seems a bit big to me.

A lot of people comment that you should go half size down on these shoes.

That said, I ordered both size 11.5 and 12 for myself, and while I can get into both, it was night and day for me on the toe box space with my normal 12. With the 11.5 the shoe felt like a very tight glove, with minimal cramping of space in the toe box, but enough that I decided it would be uncomfortable. 12 fits snug and gives me tons of toe room, so that's what I'm sticking with.

These are at a great deal in your 9.5 size right now: https://www.tennis-warehouse.com/As..._Blue_Mens_Shoes/descpageMSASICS-AMCFFWM.html

I was lucky to get THIS colorway this week for $101! What does everyone think? great deal? great color? I hope they live up to my GOAT shoe the original Asics Speed SOlution 2's from 2015

You had the shoes for a year... Maybe you should know by now if they match your expectations or share your opinion like you did on the video a year ago...

Second pair of Court FFs that breaks the exact same place for me. My double partners Court FF also recently broke there. Only one experiencing this? I truly love these shoes and their quality in all other places than this spot is superior to any other shoes I've tried. But this make them hard to love and I might now have to go for something else :(

I just got a new pair of Court FF2s so can report back if the shoe has issues in that spot.

Another question, how frequently does Asics introduce new colorways for this shoe? I really want an all black one.

I grabbed he black/gecko quick as same to you was really looking forward for a black version. But I think this one would do as the gecko/green is just so subtle and might sold out quick.

I've seen one person who was complaining about the plasticky part bending around that area, but he gave up on the shoe, so it's difficult to say if similar damage would occur. What's your foot shape? I'm, assuming you went half a size down with them (like I and everyone else I know did). Do you feel like there's a room or something feels weird in that area? Maybe using different laces would keep foot more secure and somehow would minimalize the damage from the inside? I don't know, but this is one of the least likely areas to have the contact with the floor, so damage from the outside seems unlikely. Maybe even experimenting with socks or insoles (I'm grasping at straws here).

New colorways show up around every 3 months.

No I actually went with the same size as my Nike Vapor and both of my pairs felt great when used. I could try to go a size down however unsure if it will make a difference considering my double partners Court FF broke the exact same place.

Yes I have exactly the same problem with mine, tho it's more above the toes.

I gave up on reasoning with the shoe makers about this issue.
Maybe it's my feet or how I move but almost every tennis shoe that I owned has broken at the toe bend area, with the exception of the Gel Resolution 7s.
Anything that has fabric or fabric combined with mesh gets absolutely destroyed by clay and moisture mix which weakens the material.
If you play on red clay, check the strength of your laces after a few months. A two year old can break them by pulling on them with slight pressure. That's what clay + moisture does to fabric.
My current solution is to buy lower cost shoes or on sale and just replace replace replace.
I play 10h a week on clay and go through about a pair a month or at best 2 months. 6-12 pairs a year :(

Have you tried to use shoe trees or active coal inserts for wick away moisture? Considering experimenting with this to see if that will extend the lifetime of my Court FF 2

I brush off the clay and air dry them with the insoles out after every session, but haven't tried the shoe trees no. I fear they might stretch them.
The problem is once clay and moisture mix, it's kinda game over already for fabric.

You could consider some insert with active coal. They do not stretch. I just ordered some from Swedish company Smellwell that ships worldwide.

Did anyone got heel blisters on the first playtest ? I suppose it needs a breakdown as it’s super locked in at the ankle area.

No blisters here. First shoe that fortunately had no break in time or caused blisters for me. For reference, I wear the same size in Vapor X, Vapor Cage 4, and Court FF 2, and size half a size up with Ubersonic 3 and Zoom GP Turbo

I did. Very painful, actually, but as soon as I switched to Thorlos socks that went away.

These are definitely my shoes of choice.
The weird thing is that i am also thinking to go half size down…. I have almost 1cm gap from the end of the toe box. I should never got blister in the achilleas area. I also use traxion adidas shocks which are super cushioned.

As part of the break in process I guess, the top cuff of the shoe kind of rubs on my ankle where the sock stops covering my skin and is wearing away (both shoe fabric and skin)

Really conflicted here. There’s a really nice colour way of the Ff2 left. Last one and magically it’s in my size. But I don’t need it yet. Will probably do in a couple of months. Right when the ff3s will come out.

Just do it. They don’t have a 6 mo warranty anyway

Has anyone had any pain with the Court FF2s? The first dozen times I wore them, I loved them. But now I'm getting pretty bad ankle / achilles area pain on my left foot everytime I wear them. I played an hour and half yesterday and literally had a bruise up my left achilles and the outside/inside of my lower-back ankle is swollen. I think that heel support piece in the back is causing the pain? I wonder if it or the cushioning around it shifted somehow?
