New at TW: Converse has EVOlved......

I do, since I see a bit of the court ballistic and vapor fused together. Went ahead and pre-ordered.

BTW- Jason, I'll be in the LA area during the Allstar festivities and plan on visiting TW.

Are these a limited edition? An article about them at tennisidentity says they will be available "February 15, 2011 through the fall."

Anyway, I love them and want a pair.

I read about these coming out in Tennis magazine a couple of months ago. They look nice and I hope to get a pair. Glad to hear mostly positive reviews. The issue of having a wider fit should suit me fine.

Awesome shoes! Love them. I have a wide foot and they fit much better than any Nike pair I've used.
Any idea if they are coming out with a different colorway?

are there going to be warranties on these? its the only thing im worried about lol: durability

Sorry, but no durability guarantee currently on the Evos.

This is the only colorway that will be offered in 2011. However, could very well have more options in the future.

the article says:
Preferring a higher arch for his feet was Chris. He said, "The arch support was low fitting, and I have medium to high arches. I definitely would have enjoyed a higher arch, but torsionally they were solid, and my feet felt safe in them."
but then later it says:
Playtester Foot Types:
Chris - Narrow width/low arch

That doesn't make much sense...

You would be correct in your analysis....

Chris has a higher than medium arch. There is a mistake on his foot type. Thanks for the heads up.

No problemo! I found it because I was specifically looking for their foot type. It seems that everyone but Chris likes a narrow fit (with lowish arch) whereas my feet can't handle shoes like that! The Breathe Cage II's are my most recent nemesis...

I like it tightish in the heel and wideish in the mid/toes, with the highest arch possible! Sadly, I haven't found the "perfect" tennis shoe yet.

Jack Purcell EVO

How do they fit/run?

Since these are done by Nike, I'd like to now if they run more like a Vapor, or more like an old style JP Converse?

I have one of the old JP styles at home in size 12, which fit me fine with regular socks, but I'm currently buying my Vapors in 13, but it's more because of the thick socks that I use when playing.

I want to buy these now, but if they do become warranted later on after my purchase, can I still use the warrantee too? or should I just wait

Converse has no plans to give these a durability guarantee so I'd go ahead an purchase them now.
