new balance 4E isn't as wide as it used to be. Any suggestions of other shoes?

i've been wearing new balance size 10 4E for MANY years. they have now changed the last; the toe box is narrower i literally just finished packing up a pair of 1006's, size 10 4E for return. their length is about right, the maximum width of the sole is about even between my old shoes and this pair, but in the new ones the toe box does not maintain that width, it comes out to that width and then narrows to create a pointier toe box,

i tried the 806's earlier in the week. the 10 in the new model 806 is noticeably shorter than the my old 10's. then i got a pair of 806 size 11 4E. it is the same length as the old 10, but is about a 3E - narrower than the old 4E. i'm thinking of keeping the 11's and using some shoe stretchers which i got a while ago when i ran into a problem finding hiking boots. [i finally got a pair of lowa's and the stretchers worked well. if you get stretchers make sure they are for wide feet. most stretchers turn narrow shoes into mediums]

anyone know of tennis shoes as wide as new balance 4E used to be?

K Swiss Bigshot light Leather. I used to wear NB cross trainers in 6E, the K Swiss shoe is just as wide and better for tennis. If it proves too wide some of the other K Swiss are a bit narrower.

thanks. it's odd that k-swiss lists certain shoes as wide, but not that one. anyway, i just ordered a pair. fingers crossed.

tried the bigshot light leather, size 10. unfortunately, although it's the same length, it's slightly narrower than the new balance 806 size 11-4E.

thanks for the suggestion, though. it's surprisingly wide for a shoe not advertised as such. compared to the new balance shoes it's true to length and i'd guess about a 2E, in width.

i guess a lot depends on individual foot shape since you wore 6E in nb cross trainers.
