Mainly wondering if anyone who has the Lav V2s ordered the same size in the CG1s or went with half a size down

I like this color but my better half said too flash for guys. Thinking about defying her anyway.

I would wear it. I wouldn't make it look amazing, but I would totally wear it. If it makes you happy why not give it a try. You deserve to be flashy:) I wish other stars pushed the shoe makers to make such great shoes.

I am only hoping Coco keeps winning so they can just justify developing these signature lines for her. She is a great brand ambassador.

As a fan, really enjoy watching her, but she tends to have a 2nd set collapse

How are these fitting, as compared to other NB shoes like the Lav2?

I wear a 12 in NB shoes, wondering if I should order same size.

I would at a minimum order the same size as your Lav V2s for CG1. I made the mistake of ordering 1/2 size down, based on that youtube reviewer and a few posters recs here, and I should have ordered the same size as my Lavs. half size down were way too narrow and short, podiatrist zach's recs were not right for my feet

Thanks for the advice. Got the CG1s in today, and I feel like they ran a tad long and wide, but not enough to order a 1/2 size down. I'm a toe jammer, so I'll just appreciate that extra room. Especially when the temps go up and its hot. Great feeling shoe. Love the support and mid height. More folks should try these, I think they'd be surprised. In a good way.

As a Lav V2 user, what are some benefits to get the CG1 over the lavs? Do you find the CG1’s speedier, or notice the “energy return” of the carbon shank/cushioning? I’ve been lucky to stay injury free in the Lavs, but i’m enticed to try the CG1s in the same size as my Lavs

I just wanted to try something new. Been playing in Lav2s for over a year, after coming from the original FF Lav, and just wanted to try the CG1s out of curiosity for the mid top shoe.

A few weeks in, and I wouldn't say I'm smitten with these.

They run a little wide for me, even in regular D width, so I had to drop in an insole to help box in the space.

With an insole they are heavier and hotter. I've def lost a half step of speed in these.

Do I regret the $170 spent? Meh. They feel great, they look great, and I still like them. But I've now tried the CG1 and the 996v5 only to realize that I never should have strayed off the Lav V2. Great shoe that does it all, IMO.

Won't order a second pair of these, but will continue to play in them. I'm not unreasonable enough to think that a shoe is going to cost me a match at the 4.5/5.0 level.

Good to know. Just ordered my first pair of NBs (CG1) just to try a high top. Wanted to try the Lavs first but here we are.

what exactly has she won? ever?
A couple 250s with nobody’……. Tia Maria was a top 4 seed…. Hit behind her and she’s done. Serve toss is all over and her feet are in different places every serve. Her dad is her worst enemy. Her best asset is her marketing team. Even TC is noticing her easy draws to finals. There are so many things fundamentally wrong with everything but her BH and volley. She’ll do fine bc none of the WTA coaches teach tactics except Igas And Emma’s old coach. She also enters every event so she’ll have enough points to keep her in the top.
the trouble with the WTA is Serena left. There’s no one driving these girls to play better and smarter. It’s go out and drive the ball through your opponent, hit to predictable spots then get mad when she gets it back…..

Mine arrived today.

Quite wide in regular width, lots of digging going on around the ankle bone. Just don't think they'll work for me so they're going back. For $240 CAD, I don't think it's quite worth it for me. I can pick up Nike Vapor Pro 2s for $140...Back to the old swoooooosh we go.

Does FuelCell bottoms out quickly or just a bit quicker than Fresh Foam X? Never tried FuelCell. the More v4 running shoes with fresh foam X are great and midsole is fresh after months.

Yeah, that didn't age well. I'm seriously considering giving these a try but I really love the new CT-Rally, so I guess I should stick with them.

LOL, no it did not.

CT-Rally is an awesome shoe. So well made. I think it's a great improvement over the Lav V2. Not the best looks, but doesn't deserve the hate it's getting on aesthetics. Currently rocking the Lacoste LT23s, which I think is shoe of the year (if only the outsole durability was a bit better, would be literally perfect), but both the CT-Rally and the Coco CG1 are awesome offerings. With the CG1, you may need to experiment to get the fit right. I had to go a half size down for it to work, but once you find the right fit, it's so awesome. I would easily put the CT-Rally in the top 3 of the best shoes of 2023. New Balance is just killing it right now. Vastly superior to any of Nike's current offerings, imo.

top 3 as in the CT-Rally, Wave Enforce, and AG-LT23? Or did another one sneak in there?
