I think they look great on-foot and way less like an "old person shoe". People need to wait!

I don’t understand the “old man” or “dad” comments on the New Balance shoes. While some of their shoes don’t (for me) pass my comfort screen, they generally are supportive, and accommodate orthotics, and come in widths and size 12 1/2. I’ve tried on a number of other brands and IMO, with their hard plastic flanges and overly stiff heel counters, they provide an annuity stream to podiatrists and orthopedists.

Go to Costco, Home Depot, Ace hardware, your local VFW or anywhere you see older guys accumulate. You will see a parade of white New Balance, high socks and tucked in shorts. its the age 65-80 uniform.

I'm not being a hater but surely you can see how a comment containing the words "orthotics" "comfort screen" and "annuity" might come from a POV more in line with the perceived "old man" / "dad" demographic than a younger one.

We're all headed for the same grave. It's chill.

I'm trying to gas myself up on these shoes. Switching to these, a visor, and cargos.
Same here. Last night I was in my socks after taking off my cycling shoes and I had to go out into the yard, the only footwear that was available was my son's sandals, so I slipped them out...realized I was wearing black socks and sandals which is something I swore I would never do, but I'm 60 so I guess it's ok.

I also noticed lots of senior citizens wearing On shoes at the airport last week, have we ruined that shoe for younger people now ?

FYI - based on the attempted sarcasm from two of the commentators, I am reminded of the “old adage” - “ can they chew gum and walk at the same time?” I did a quick google and found that it is estimated that a significant % of professional athletes use orthotics!!!!!

Yes. It's always been this way with On though. I was at a ski resort in 2019, saw a ton of ancient folks wearing these sneakers with a funny logo. O n ???

It's always been a rich man's sneaker. I see people wearing Roger Pros at dinner in the Hamptons area.

The Lav 1’s were the best tennis shoe I’ve ever tried: I went through several pairs. I still look for them on auction sites in hopes someone is trying to offload a pair in my size. Hopefully these pick up where those left off.

Has anyone seen where to purchase the black and blue/purple colorway that TWH 3020 shared a pic of? I can’t locate those at any North American sites.

Anybody have these yet? I just got mine, I noticed they are very snug. Shoes got hot fast on the court and it felt like I had blisters coming in but didn't. Maybe it's just the break in process? Curious if anyone has similar experiences?

Have you owned Lav V2 in the past? Are the CT-rally tighter?

The CT-Rally feel tighter along the top of my foot compared to the Lav2, even though they have a much more padded tongue, but have only worn them once so far so need more time to break in.

Yes, I noticed that it does feel tight at the top of the foot. Did you feel your shoes getting hot and tight pressure under your big toe almost like a blister feel?

Has not felt hotter than the Lav from what I can remember, and nothing for big toe pressure but I have some space in the front of the shoe which I like, maybe too small a size?

Interesting, I did think they might be too small. I'm a size 9 in Nike tennis but maybe I need 9.5? Does New Balance run a little smaller?

I wear a 12 in Nike and NB

By top of the foot do you mean like above the toes or across the toes? Width or height?

What color did everyone go with? These are butt ugly compared to the lav v2 but I have vouchers for them.
Agree that the color ways could use some work, but I'm loving my CTs. A great step up while remaining in line with the durability and feel that the FF Lav started. Hoping this remains the NB premier tennis shoe for many years to come.

These aren't even available on the NB UK site yet. Lav 2 is on sale so hoping they add these to replace those soon.

Bumping this.

I got the 13 size. 2 E wide.
Not bad at all for comfort. But also just a tad more roomier in the toes than expected.

Also got the 13/2E. Haven't tried on court yet but quite comfortable with more than adequate room for my bunions and hammertoes.
Haha yeah same. It’s crazy I got the lacoste ag ultra 23. They don’t make anything higher than a 13. Too narrow. No room.

These are nice and comfy. Wondering if there’s too much room in the toes. Laced them up inside my house and did some movement exercises to test them out. Comfy for sure. Don’t seem to be too loose

I liked these. I thought they felt like a baby of the barricades and gel res 9. One of the most comfortable shoes that I have worn. Unfortunately, I wore a hole in the outsole in less than 2 weeks. I do play around 15-20 hours a week and slide constantly.

Yeah not in a good way. As in these shoes, cargo shorts, high white socks, a button down short sleeve shirt, a fanny pack, clip on sunglasses, and a wide brim straw titelist golf hat.
I like the look of them, which probably indicates that I am a few thousand levels below you on the style hierarchy :-D

I’ve been a fan of the Lav range for a fair while. The 2 was better than the 1 imo because the lateral stability was way better.

I havent had a chance to try these but am interested to know if they have more torsional support than the 2’s, which were otherwise perfect.

Just received a pair of these as a warranty replacement of my Lav 2 that I really liked. Sadly, I burn through these in about a month so the other 3 pair I have are on borrowed time.

First off, these are possibly the ugliest shoes I’ve ever had in my closet…and that’s where they will likely stay.

The fit is not comfortable like the Lav2, more snug lengthwise, entire shoe seems narrower to me. Tough to put on.

Nothing like Lav 1 or 2 imo as those were both great shoes, I personally thought the upper of the v1 with the v2 lower would be the perfect shoe. These are a bust!

Well my tennis sucks lately so I might as well try to look good out there!
