I really want to get the new line from the australian open and indian wells, but new balance has already given a statement that they have some big delay to release them in the shop.

The original FF Lav from 3 years ago hooked me on NB shoes. Its all I've purchased since then. I hope they keep it up. They seem to have a sweet spot for quality, durability, performance. The prices...are just the prices. Originally, I balked at $130 shoes, but thats just the way it is now.

lol "we need someone hot to sell our tennis things. Do they have to play tennis?... call up Bouchard"

2 new dad shoe CG1 colourways:

I’m not a high-top wearer but I‘d be interested if they ever did a CG low.

It looks like on the NB site these shoes have a lower ankle cut vs standard colorways:

Looks like they reshaped the inside drag guard ass well. Looks like a dorsal fin now way more streamlined. The lacing system on the inside of the forefoot is totally different as well. Might as well be a 996v5.5

Do you guys prefer fresh foam x or fuel cell?
I wanted to like the Fuel Cell bc its so fast, and supportive...at least initially. But yes, the shoe bottoms out quickly. If I had endless shoe budget (or a sponsorship), then yeah, give me a new Fuel Cell every 3-4 weeks. But after that time period, I started getting some heel pain. Which turned into some really harsh heel pain. I switched back to my Lav/CG1s and the heel pain eventually resolved. The Fuel Cells turned into my gym shoes, as they just couldn't take the hard court pounding I demanded from them. If I was a less competitive player, or could rotate through many pairs of shoes, then the Fuel Cells could last. They will absolutely stand up to recreational play. But if you train on court 8+ hours a week...look elsewhere. IMO

The Laws last much longer from a support stand point. They remain NBs premier shoe for tennis, for a reason.

If you ever tried the 3rd generation of the 996 you probably would have liked it even more
Absolutely not unfortunately
"absolutely not" as in "the pic above is absolutely not the lav v3" OR "NB will absolutely not be releasing the lav v3 in 2023"?

Does revlite foam bottom out faster or last longer than fresh foam?

That’s not the Lav v3. Also wouldn’t expect the Lav name to be retained in future versions….

No clue. I dont know if construction or type of foam or a combo is what's leading to the Lav outlasting the Fuel Cell. My guess (based on pricing) is a combo.

RevLite - Standard EVA
Fuel Cell - eTPU + EVA blend (similar to Adidas Boost)
Fresh Foam - Proprietary EVA blend. Secondary Injection molded and 3d mapped to create different compression zones

FF is heavier and less springy than Fuel Cell. It focuses more on impact absorption and stability. Fuel Cell is more focused on lightness and energy return. Both are more advanced than RevLite which is basically industry standard EVA.

Thanks I wonder if that‘s why my shoes, even though the rubber isn’t close to wearing out. The cushioning doesn’t seem as it was new and my knees are hurting now vs when they were new.

Strangely I find the fresh foam on the Lav 2s too responsive, super comfortable under foot but doesn't play well with my movements for some reason. Didn't have this issue with the Lav 1s.
