The Lavs are stiffer, bulkier, and firmer than the Gel Res. They also sit higher off the ground as well. Can anyone compare these to the Gel Res 8's?
Does the shape of that racquet handle look more rectangular than normal for anyone else? Or are the bevels just more defined?Custom Davis Cup USA Lav v2s (Tommy Paul)

Very defined bevels, but don't forget he can get whatever handle he wants put on there.Does the shape of that racquet handle look more rectangular than normal for anyone else? Or are the bevels just more defined?
I don't think there's a clay court version but I played on har-tru with it when it was new and the tread wasn't bad. I think it's better than other all-court options. How good are these on har-tru courts? Thanks!!!
Any word on NB keeping the Lav2 around for 2023?
This has been my fav shoe in quite a while. Stable and stout enough to hold up to my training demands.
I think my orange ones look awesome! They are bright neon orange. See pic on pg 2 of this thread, post #76.Their colorways are god awful.
Most of them look like they should have a Mcdonalds logo on the side.

Source?LAV3 looks to be much more streamlined
Fellow playtester. Images were asked not be shared unfortunately. NB has a rather cool amateur playtest program. They are few and far between but great to be offered from the manufacturer.Source?
Yes, very amazing. Incredible comfort combined with great responsiveness and stability. For what it’s worth these shoes are amazing.
No images, but what about dates though? Obviously "no" as well right?Images were asked not be shared unfortunately.
I agree, these are the best shoes I've worn in years. For what it’s worth these shoes are amazing.
I have no idea unfortunately. I would assume mid-2023 based on lead times of other tests and their eventual release dateNo images, but what about dates though? Obviously "no" as well right?
How often do you get to playtest NB products? I signed up for their program a few months back but no word yetFellow playtester. Images were asked not be shared unfortunately. NB has a rather cool amateur playtest program. They are few and far between but great to be offered from the manufacturer.
I was able to test the 996v5 last summer
I highly recommend the Lav v2. They are expensive. I got them slightly used for about half price on the Bay.
You won't regret it.Just looked. Found wides in my size for $112.49. Not too bad. Might have to give them a try.

If you mean the thickness of the factory insole, I would say the Lav v2's insole is thicker than other factory insoles so yes, there is a significant drop. I'm guessing you're wondering if there is sufficient room for your custom insole and especially the height of the heel.Is there a significant drop when removing the factory insole?

I hope the heel of the insole is still internal to the shoe after inserting it into the shoe.Yes. Hopefully there’s still a good amount of cushion and bounce when inserting my orthotic.
Any lav2 users that are also toe draggers care to comment on the durability of the uppers?
Only 1 width now?Found this "new" color way coming to us for Wimbledon. They are changing the logos and no longer calling it the Lav 2, its just now called the all court LAV. Personally I can dig it as it goes along with their latest casual shoe logo changes as well!
