New ball pick up device

Eh. I'll definitely pass.

Kids love using the tubes.
Adults like the ball hoppers. Ball hoppers that hold 75-100 are fast and adults don't mind. I'll stick to those.

My lawn mower picker upper broke a while back and haven't had the desire to spend $400+ on a new one

Depending on how cumbersome it becomes once the netted sack fills and how easy it is to empty, it strikes me as a possible improvement on the tube. That said, I agree with Cobra--hoppers are easier and faster. Ball mowers are fantastic but generally only practical for private clubs.

i made one after dinner with some crap i had in the garage.. i like it. will test it out on the court soon. i coach high school..and i think 6 of these will make a difference.. nice thing is i can leave my hoppers in the up position and kids can fill them..

update on my homemade unit.. holds 24 balls.. picks them up easily and quickly without bending. the weight of 24 balls is about as many as you can comfortably maneuver with one hand.. tubes hold a dozen or so but they get harder to use as you get past 7-8 balls and they are time consuming..and you miss a lot.. this thing is precise with the pick up and it fills the bag nicely without clogging.. no real complaints. loads easily into a standing hopper.. i hit some serves with it alone.. hit 24 serves walk over pick up the balls and serve another batch.. breaks up the process which is nice.. hitting a basket has its place..but i didn't hate this thing.

It seems to basically expand upon the tube pickup. Cut off top of tube, attach pole and net and you have this. Personally we use a mower for the large pick ups and the hopper for the rest.
