I've never seen epic nadal (@MichaelNadal ) choking like that, he was literally a point away from serving for the match in 3rd set, netted an easy smash.(by his standards)
He was 2 sets and a break up, went into 2015 mode and let meddy come back..

OK, that’s one of the ways to look at it. Another could be that the BIG3 are so exeptional that even past 30 they are so great that it’s an extremely tough task to beat them. Also Fed only started dominating the game in 2003 when he was 22, Djokovic in 2011 when he was 23-24... players now mature later than they used to in the 80-ties or 90-ties and they last longer. Only Nadal is a freak who escapes all stereotypes cause he reached very high level very early and still has it.

And BTW while you mention Del Potro don’t forget Stanimal. He’s a player who doesn’t suit any template cause he broke through in slams when he was approaching 29. But definitely he should be listed as an ATG player.
