New Black Vapor V, different weight than other Vapors?

Many have noted that the new black vapors have mesh in areas that the white Vapor V does not. Did TW weight the new black Vapors or just assume they are the same weight (15.7 oz.)? Thanks

Thanks for the heads up. Upon weighing this version, you may be surprised to know that it is .1 ounce heavier coming in at 15.8 ounces.

Wow, that totally caught me off guard. I doubt that .1 ounce is noticeable but I was certain it would have been lighter. Sure you didn't weigh in those size 15's you have in stock?!?! lol

Oh, almost forgot...thanks! It has almost become automatic in my mind that whenever a question is asked (worth answering) that TW answers it and sometimes goes to certain measures other companies wouldn't, but it is very much appreciated!

from what i can, the material is not mesh at all... just looks like cheap plastic to me painted to look like mesh (almost looks like they were going for a Spiderman 3 look to it) but anyway i dont think its mesh and I dont think it will breath like mesh (not like the BFIIs anyway)

i know i am sounding very negative but part of this is the feeling of hurt, dissapointment, and sadness

i was expecting (for months now) the black Fed vapor shoe that Fed had been advertising the past few months and instead got something radically different

I am almost thinking of buying a pair. Holding on to them and sell them in 2-3 years. They will double in value. But I really don't like the meshy look to them. Someone posted that Fed also has the mesh, I was like NOOO way. His is real or syn leather, not at all mesh. Again, I hate, hate Nike for doing this. If Black was such a "hot" shoe color, then why did Adidas make one? No real complaints from what I heard.

And there's SOOOO much whining about the colorway and materials. Get over it. Those special Federer black Vapor IV were only sold at the US Open last year in extremely limited quantities. Nike isn't even selling any of the special Fed black Vapor V he wore at the Aussie Open this year. Just be happy Nike even releases "replicas" of Fed's wardrobe.

But why? At least he wears the exact same "looking" shoes in the other Vapor V colors. So what is the point about the mesh? Sorry, but I am not happy. I waited months for these (actually years) for an all black Vapor shoe. I already owned a pair of Tirand's and they fit and felt fine. I can only assume the Barricade is that much better, so next pair of tennis shoes will be Nike.

At this point I am disgusted with them. Last year Fed wears his "special" shoes and we get an ugly version, now it seems we get the same looking ...and Nike does it again. I don't want to be like Fed, I hated all the Vapors except the 2's. The 3 were dog, dog ugly and last year they looked cheap. Finally, they get it right and I hear an all black version is coming...now I get the shaft.
