Hey guys. It's been many years since I last posted here. Now I'm getting my wife into tennis and we're playing a couple of times per week. I really haven't hit much in the last 10 years, but it feels good to get back to it.

I still have two PS Tour 90s from 2003ish and I love them. I know there's been several versions to come out since 2003, and my question is is there a significant difference between the original PS Tour 90 and its descendants? If I wanted to buy newer rackets but keep the same feel, is there a version I should hunt for, or should I just keep an eye out for another black/yellow?

Reason I ask is that I let my wife hit with my old Prince TT Warrior OSs and they hurt her wrist. I hit with them and they hurt MY wrist too, so I think those frames are done. I'm slightly worried my PST90s will follow shortly.

FWIW, I had a brief hit with a demo RF97 Autograph recently and didn't care for it compared to my PST90s.

    Thanks!

Hyper Carbon Pro Tour 90 (which one you have) is the best. In my opinion second to it is nCODE 6.1 Tour 90.

I used to play with various iterations of the 90 and loved them... started to use the PS85 as my mainstick about 18 months ago. I have heard lots of different opinions reg the various 90 iterations.
for many the K-Factor 90 is the best - is claimed to be what Federer really plaid with and is referred to as having a crisp feel. I have read from some K90 fans, that the last version that was sold (Federer never played with the pj) come closest to the K90 and was considered good.
My first 90 was the BLX 6.1 Tour - which is my personal favourite - I love the pj and the racket and seem to be one of the few with that preference. For me they feel the best, but that can easily just be me imagining things, because i dig the pj :)

I have played with all iterations (but mostly with 4, 3 and 5, less with 1, 2 and 6):
    1. original Hypercarbon ProStaff 90 (black yellow)
    2. N-Code (red-white)
    3. K-Factor (White/red/black)
    4. BLX 6.1 Tour 90 (black, red, gold)
    5. the the ProStaff 90 (or ProStaff ninety) BLX (white, red, gold)
    6. the PS90 (white, red, gold)
They are all wonderful rackets and if you love the black/yellow one, you'll likely adjust easily to any of the others. There is one thing that changed after the N-Code going to the K-Factor version - string-spacing around the PWS. But honestly, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference if I'd have to blind-play them...
So my suggestion - if you can get any 90-iteration for a good price, get them and don't worry about the paint... and I would not think that your PS90s will be "done" anytime soon... these are excellent quality rackets, you can play them for ages.

And oh, If you just hit the lottery and want to blow out some cash, get yourself a few of the the all new PS85 RF http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Wilson_Pro_Staff_RF_85_Ltd_Edition/descpageRCWILSON-PSRF85.html... these are excellent rackets and the paint-job is absolutely wonderful. I do want to order one or 2 at some point, but not at that price just now...

    Have fun hitting.

Your frames are the best looking. The Ncode is a great sequel, great frame, the K90 is the best, the black BLX is a step back, slightly tinny and pingy, the white BLX is trash.

FWIW I used wilson 90s for 7 years, went through over 50 of them. Currently I play the Graphene Prestige MP.

    Great review!
I played with and still own №1,2,3,4 and like 1>2>3>4. And of course I have PS85 and I like it most of all. Agree that all these racquets are great. I don't try the last two because I don't like modern racquets' quality.

IMO, the PS Tour 90 feels very different from the K90 and other more open string pattern Wilson 90 sq inch racquets. The K90, BLX, etc. feel much more powerful and softer. The PS Tour 90 feels much more crisp to me and has less spin.
