Well..if it's called Yellow Jacket, it's got be good! :);)

But seriously, I'm a Signum fan from way back. First poly strings I ever tried and loved them.

Just finished installing a set of this in my go-to frame. I'll be on the court a little this week but then I'll be off for a week on vacation so I might not be able to give great feedback for a couple weeks. Can't wait to try it out though!

Well I tried it in one of my Burn 100’s strung by TW at 50lbs. Tried it today and I am shocked. The feel is so soft! Spin is fantastic. Feel shots aka soft drop shots .....I felt like I could put the ball on a dime. Low power, truly a confidence builder. Absolutely loved everything about this string.

Seriously, this string is like a dream come true. I’m a long time Luxilon ALU Power guy. Crap, I wish I could send all my packs back. $9.99 OMG going to buy tons of this.

Judging by packaging, is the Yellow Jacket same as the Triton, found in Signum Pro's website?

http://www.signum-pro.com/html/index.php?id=80&L=1
No, they are different strings. Yellow Jacket is hexagonal, Triton is "extreme rough." Triton isn't shaped, but has a very unique texture to it with microscopic bumps on it. I haven't tried it yet, but I've gotten a hold of a set and I can't wait to try it out.

Thanks. It's strange I can't find the Yellow Jacket listed anywhere on their website.

When possible, comparison to Signum Pro Hyperion would be most welcome.
thanks in advance
What about the new Yellow Jacket from Signum Pro, only Tennis Warehouse is selling it and I think this is a must try. Great power like the Hyperion, but the spin that you can generate with this one and the feeling when you hit the ball, makes me think this is the string I was really looking for.

That was exactly what I thought! My doubles partner gave me a set, it was amazing when I tried it even when I was going to show him he was mistaken on saying how good this string was. Haha.

Sound like one of the best polys in the market. How do you think this compares to Tourbite in power and spin generation department ?
I would give Yellow Jacket a thumbs up compred to the string you are asking. Remember, German made is something quite interesting compared to Made in taiwan. This string can prove it

I have just ordered a reel outside TW.
I talked to someone at Tennis Warehosue today, they told me the reels of Yellow Jacket will be in for next week. That is great news for me, it is easier to travel with a reel instead of many sets;-)

Solinco is made in USA I thought ?? only issue with Signum Is that in the past, it was very good control string but had nothing else, poor spin and poor power level.

did anyone have experience with the new Signum Pro X-perience? Kinda like it
I did indeed. I got a sample set for 1.99 at ****, I love the color and I like the string. I am sticking to Yellow Jacket but I think X-Perience is even softer, great power, great spin as well. But something in Yellow Jacket feels delicious to me:)

I used Tornado for years and I never felt it lacked spin or power. Which string were you using.
I thought Solinco was made in the US, but that is a lie. It says in big letters: Engineered in California, and then in little letters somewhere else: Made in Taiwan. Much people falls for it. I talked to the guy from Laserfiber and he told me he is the first guy making string in the US since the 60’s. And he said Solinco is just miss leading by this way.

Can you describe so more how the string feels? Do you think it's more crisp or more soft/muted feeling? Sounds like a great string!

From the reviews, sounds like the only negative is tension maintenance. Which is kind of a deal breaker. Does anybody know why this string only comes in 16 and 17L gauge? That's kind of a big jump from 16 to 17L. Would have liked to see just 17 gauge.

It's a stiffer string but with a dampened/muted feel. Not as muted as Head Hawk, but definitely dampened. Relatively low-powered, very high spin potential. I've only tried the 16g though.

So did you get a chance to try out the string yet?

This softer I didn't expect. Usually co-polyester strings can have good feeling but softer in not a word I use often:) And I can certainly say this about X-Perience

It is, I don't know if I should say it here but at **** I found a set for 1.99 plus shipping for sample it said and I try it. I really enjoy the feeling. The string feels powerful. I like hitting hard, so this one would make my ball go faster but still the ame control. More soft, but not muted feeling. I hate a string that has no feeling, so this is difficult to describe:
- You hit with it and the feeling is softer to the arm, but definitely nice feeling, I do feel the ball! I guess there is only one way for you to find out:)

I used Signum pro poly plasma. very generic string, low power low spin

Priced at under $10, Yellow Jacket is arguably the BEST option for those desiring an All-Around co-poly with Power and Feel and Spin. I played it and I found it to last 3 solid singles matches with minimal tension loss. I play Pro Staff 100 @ 57 lbs. I compared it to the TRITON string offered by Signum Pro..... Triton is awesome too but at $10, Yellow Jacket is my new best friend....

I forgot to add that I am awaiting a sample of X-PERIENCE as I want to compare that string as well. I am thinking that my aging arm might benefit from the advertised softer string. A friend mentioned that the X-PERIENCE plays a lot like a Multi filament. I have to try it before making that remark myself. Yellow Jacket in 1.22 / 17L was awesome so, X-Perience 1.24 has a challenge ahead of it. Either way, these Signum Pro strings really are bringing it.....

How's the control with Yellow Jacket?

How's the control with Yellow Jacket?
Control is very good on Yellow Jacket. I did not think it was a very powerful string though, and jk-time is saying it's great all-around including power. My experience said it was a very solid, control-oriented and spin-friendly poly. Fairly stiff, but with a dampened feel, so it's not as harsh on the arm as what I expected from installing it in my racquet.

Have you played with Hyper G? How does it compare to Hyper G in terms of comfort? I like Hyper G but it's not as soft as most people are raving about. I'm developing arm pain from Hyper G so hoping that Yellow Jacket would play softer.
