At first look I see the IG 2.0 haha very similar. Is more flexier than previous versions too [emoji106]

Looks like the XT, Pure Aero, and Ai 98 had a mutt child. Not a fan of the looks. The specs are actually very intriguing, and I'll probably hit with it some day, but I'll stick with my TC100.

To me, what made the Extreme so good was the wide short headshape, making the sweetspot well away from the handle.
The new one looks like an oval head, like the Instinct or every other racket on the market.

I think those specs are right on. Add leather and overgrip and I would end up around 330g, 6hl with a 325 sw. Add in that the flex is right where I like it (62-65) and it looks like a racquet I could be quite happy with. I don't give a rat's butt about the cosmetics.

So the new extreme is more or less that crazy drunk girl at parties that had too much vodka the whole night and the pure aero is still that "smarter" friend that is always aware of their alcohol content and takes care of their drunken friends.

i forgot where i was going with this.

I was excited about the new Extreme line until I heard there was no Pro model. I always loved their Pro versions as it was like a Pure Drive Roddick with a bit more control and a lot more comfort. I get that you can add lead but with these specs (RA) on the MP would love to see the specs one a Pro. Bummed....

Head's racquet lineup is so mixed together that it's confusing to consumers. It's like internal brand disintegration.

Other than obvious weight and head size differences, what's the deal between the Graphene XT Extreme Pro and this new Graphene Touch Extreme MP? Why not just use the same name and change "Pro" to "MP"?

It will be interesting to see what ATP/WTA players transition to the new extremes. I follow a couple players that have used Extremes for their entire careers almost like Kuznetsova, Vinci, Lu, Youzny, and Peng etc.

Look intriguing but they should fire the naming department manager. Who in the name of Pepe Ymaz can differentiate among those virtually identical names...

I think Kuzya uses what looks like LM Instinct mold, not sure what stiffness but stock frame also had low 60's flex.

That's is definitely the rounder hoop in this photo.
oh yeah, shes been playing the XT extreme mold. guess its gone noW. i cant tell the new one apart from the MXG (diff bridge) or the instinct. it has more SW than the instinct, but that about it.

Its obvious that Head put about zero research and playtests into the new extreme (nothing new), but I am glad they changed the head shape. They shouldn't have widened the string pattern, but this is a cheap non-serious racquet anyway. I think Head has just thrown its hands up and said "Ah, who cares. Ship it!"

The round head was so distinctive in the line-up and now HEAD replaces it with just another parts bin frame that I can't distinguish from the MXG or Instinct. C'mon TW just put the old Extremes on runout pricing already so I can pickup a few Pros. The stability of the round head was great

I played with the Extreme Pro a little in recent post-college years when I was just hitting around, and I always liked it. It's great when I don't feel like being perfect and exerting a ton of energy on every shot. Why would they do this? I may have to buy a couple more just in case I ever want to use them again...that new one looks like it would do nothing for me.

I agree that Head's least prioritized stick is the extreme. Less pros use it and it was really just a way to try and get a few people away from the APD/PD market.
They probably talked about getting rid of it completely in many corporate meetings but they're making plenty of money to keep the lights on and ship this out. lol

The prestige/radicals are top priority.. but thisis my favorite racquet from Head.

playsight data for testers was pretty good with this new head shape... the lite could be a popular one to mod
