New forum - Thoughts?

Shouldn't it automatically fill the screen you are looking at, whatever that size is?

You can actually get rid of Signatures in Preferences, so the pages now look less messy.

The Classic look seems to have disappeared, but the default look seems less glaring.

also.....where is default and classic palletes to choose from gone?

Im reverted back to the plain white.....hey!, you fixed the highlighting on the text box! Thanks!

It's much better at 90% zoom (press CTRL key and scroll down once).
Unfortunately my zoom only goes is 25% increments and at 75% I need a magnifying glass to read the screen. They just need to move the edges in a wee bit and it would be just about there..

They've tweaked it a bit. When you go to your own profile, the "profile posts latest activity postings about" bar isn't "whitened" out.

The like bar can be made yet less intrusive, if they must keep it for people who want those thumb up thingies.

A bit clustered and too bright, I think the previous one looked easier on the eye. But should get used to it I guess.

Emojis though is strictly a no. There are far better options out there.

The fundamental question is, will this new forum be as effective as a forum like the previous edition was? And It will be, even more so? But until the smiley faces regain their old school charm, it's going to be hard to verify that I think the new forum will be more effective.

Trying to give this forum a go but scrolling through threads, you can barely differentiate between the content of the posts themselves cause the "like" border and quote borders are identical.

Add in images and other box-like things and its even harder to read fast through the threads. Also small differentiation between font in quotes vs font in actual post.

The like box does indeed have too much prominence. It should be smaller and shorter and moved to the far right or otherwise minimised.

There's a couple of crucial new features

You can finally "like" posts in chats. Huge improvement.
You also get better notifications in chats too. Overall I think it's worth it just for those.

TTW forum GURU's can change whatever they want this board to look like BUT they can never change the FACT that FED is GOAT !!! There, someone had to say it :p:p

I remember the complete chaos when the mods changed to the previous one. Wow there was so much complaint at first (including me), but I got used to it just like everyone. I just hope they don't make it look like Facebook. Cause right now we are heading in that direction. There is already some resemblance.
The complaints were actually after they switched to the new vBulletin and before they added a Classic skin.

They then switched to a different software (the one they used the past few years) and added a Classic skin and it was much better received.

I don't like it at all. Can we have a poll?

As a basic thing, threads are just more difficult to read than before. I don't know what exactly it is, but it feels like more work.
The colors have changed. THere is no clear separator between posts. Earlier the first line containing the time of post had a greyish bg.

Report button and Edit button almost seem like part of the post.

Like box has large text in same size as post. Earlier it was smaller text.
