She's Japanese (or at least represents them) and they are a Japanese company. And she is a multi GS winner. As long as she is playing they will sponsor and cater to her.

Last time they did an Osaka racket was it just a normal ezone 98 aside from the different paint job? Or did specs and such change some as well?

I honestly don't think so, she has a VERY good relationship with Yonex. Her name alone brings notoriety and attention to the brand. This is her 3rd rendition of a limited edition racquet, I'd say she's pretty set with Yonex.

No doubt she has a good relationship with Yonex. But she only has 1 slam in like 3 years now, and she has never been past the 3rd round at Roland Garros or Wimbledon.

Her name is too big especially in Japan and she has her own Nike line too, it’ll be interesting to see how long Nike keeps her own line if she continues mediocre play.

Yes, I assume they will. If they don't, some other retailer will. Yonex doesn't sell directly to consumers.

I've only been playing tennis for a few months so my string set up isn't gonna be that relevant to most of you on here I would imagine lol. Still using synthetic.
And yes I realize I went big on a racket this early on in my tennis career but I just roll like that sometimes haha. The dragon spoke to me, I couldn't resist lol.

I think the real Osaka racket is the Ai98 which is now considered pro stock since it’s only made for her.
No she switched to the 2022 Ezone 98
