New Nike Aust Open gear

I went down to my local Nike store in Adelaide, Australia last night and was surprised to find that they already are stocking the new Federer and Nadal lines for the Australian Open.

Federer will be in green and Nadal in a patterned red/orange type number.
Not sure about Fed's top but I think Nadal's will be a big seller. $100 AUD for the Federer top and $80 for Nadal's.

As for the shoes both the Vapour 9.5's and the new lunar ballistec's were also there for $180 and $220 AUD respectively. The lunar's look like a massive departure from the old court ballistec's we are used to and seem to cater for a wider foot size.

I personally dont really like the design of the lunar ballistec, but i think i will still give it a try when it come out.

I wasn't allowed to take photo's but if they are in stores in a small city in Australia then they should be on sale throughout the US and the rest of the world soon......

The green shirt that Fed will be wearing is a dark green and it is a very basic polo. Pretty unimaginative in my opinion.

Nadal's shirt is interesting but if you google it you will see photo's of the gear.

The lunar ballistecs at $220 AUD is a little dear for me....if only Tennis Warehouse still posted Nike gear to Australia.....

I think Nike learned the lesson when they went WAYYYY too imaginative with last fall's polos, haha.

Perhaps if he hasn't seen it yet then maybe I'd agree but it would make Nike look like complete mugs if he isn't wearing the green shirt they are now selling in stores.
For about the last three tournaments he wore his own choice of shirt and not the line intended. For example at the WTF he was due to wear the teal tint polo with the gold collar but he only wore it during practice hits. I don't think anybody thought Nike were complete mugs.

I saw a picture on a roger federer facebook page(not the actual RF page). They posted an RF polo of the AO open night polo. It doesn't look like the night factor color. It looks more like a turquoise color with red strip on the collar.

Really? I'm not so sure. Night Factorvis a very deep greenish grey.

As pretty the vapor 9.5s are, the ballistic 5.3 are seriously the ugliest tennis shoes I've eve seen. The head shoes are pretty ugly, but the ballistics ore in another level. I've seen the pictures for federers gear and nike have hit in the head

If you Google the new shoes by name and look under the shopping results, you may see some middle-western results. Just saying.

I personally don't care for either. I will be grabbing an extra pair of 4.3's when the grey/gamma blue go on sale.

That blue polo on Twitter must be RF AO night polo, the AO day polo looks like a light grey, as it's possible to be seen on the tennis tread on Niketalk, page 22.

Indian Wells/Rotterdam/Miami, the purple one, is on Tennis Street page.

Pap said that he saw a dark green RF polo, so... Brisbane?

Go on the web and type in"strungout.au" and go to the nike mens section. It will show federer's AO night polo. The polo is a dark blue color, not green.

Stopped by my local tennis shop (ssinet evres ruoy in the ATL) and asked when the new Nike gear will come in. The store said in a couple of weeks from today (12/22/13) and also mentioned that the new Lunarballistecs will indeed have a 6-month durability guarantee.

At the end of the day whatever colour they call it is a very ordinary shirt.
Damn that night polo looks... boring. Almost as if Nike were inspired by their $40 polos, changed the color, add a RF logo on it, and jack up the price x2.

I agree with you that is doesn't look "green", but if the 370 color code is correct, it would indicate that it's categorized as green with the "3XX" code designation. Either way, I like it.

yes, the color of the twiter pic and the aussie website are the same.
By the way, the color names are "Night factor / light crimson", same than the V9.5 colorway.

TW should have the new spring line for Nike up on their site on January 1st.

I totally dig the Night Factor RF polo, just glad to see the return of the classic and solid color. Nadal's crew reminded me of his 2009 AO, but the color combo is a little strange to me. The 9.5 vapor Agassi graphic is not doing much to me at all...

I am too. Nike's Fall 2013 line felt like mind-f***.

Lunar Ballistecs just dropped in HK today...!

Light-Crimson's the colorway (if I remember correctly). Super-bright... brighter than Nike's Infrared & Atomic Red. The lighting & saturation's a bit off due to my camera, but you get the idea...

Fit-wise, for me, these ran big. I normally wear a US10.5, but the biggest they had was a US10, so I tried those on. The shoe felt a bit longer than a normal US10, but the width felt like a normal US10.

Love the spongy Lunar outsole.

Actually, looking at the new Nadal shoes, they look pretty good to me! I thought there are no ventilation since the shoe looked pretty much isolated everywhere from the sides. But looks like they did added some holes on top of the shoe.

Alas, I already ordered the red Vapor 9.5

Did you find them at Wankee Sports? I found them to stock the best tennis gear in HK. Picked up 2 IG Prestige Pro's in October very cheap from there. Can't find a pair of tennis shoes in Asia usually any bigger than a 11.5 US.

Yeah, it was at a Wankee shop. They have a decent selection of tennis gear, but there are also a lot of pro-shops here, which I'd prefer to go to. I wouldn't want Wankee to string my sticks though. Once saw a guy pull 2 mains at once. No, thanks.

Some shops will have bigger sizes, but they won't have a lot of pairs. Maybe a handful of, for example, US12's or 13's for the bigger shops. Once they're sold, that's it.

New CB looks like combination of soccer and Basketball shoes.
seems like light and comfortable but too pricy...

The inside of the new nadal shoes are actually not too bad. I just can't get past the outside of the shoe with that big swoosh!
