I too am doubting to switch to Lunar Ballistec:
The reasons I went to Vapor 9 were:
- Feet lower to the ground with Zoom Air
- Lightweight
- Superb ventilation, even in heat, because of mesh
- Comfortable fit
Now with the Lunar Ballistecs, they have the same advantages as the Vapor 9(.5) and more:
- Lightweight
- Feet lower to the ground compared to Air Max
- Durability
Now I just don't know the following:
- Are your feet lower to the ground with the Vapor 9(.5) or with the Lunar Ballistec (Zoom Air vs. Lunar)?
- Is ventilation gonna be a problem? I know there are holes on the front of the upper, but that's it. Everything else is synthetic leather, your feet will get hot really fast, especially when it's hot outside compared to mesh.
- How much more comfortable are the Lunar Ballistec compared to the Vapor 9(.5)?
- I wonder about the durability of the flywire that's keeping the laces?
I also find it odd that all the different tech used to build a new unique tennis shoe isn't even supported by the player (Nadal) himself. In pictures, you can clearly see a paintjob. But I don't know if he will actually switch in the future. In the case of the Vapor 9, Thinker Hatfield designed this himself and the player (Federer) made the switch to Vapor 9. This might be an odd reasoning, but I find it interesting
