Do you buy New or Used? Answer honestly.

I buy used. I have no problem saving up to 50% when buying used. I've never bought a new racquet (Unless you count the $20 Target racquet). TTW board is the best. I haven't tried the bay though.

i also buy used, once i have bought a new racquet, and its just sitting there in my room unused and a lose of money

I buy new because I just like a racquet that only I've played with but I know how much more cost effective it would be if I bought used. Maybe I should start... nah.

I've only purchased new, traded with friends or bought or sold to friends. The non-new transactions were all in-person. Lately I've been buying at TW to support the nice forum that they've made available gratis.

i usually purchase my rackets new have bought a couple of used ones but sold those. but i get my rackets pretty cheap because i have hook ups

I think used racquets do really good jobs, even though i really prefer to have brand new racquets just to show off :(
I have a fetish for pretty tennis racquets >.<

All used. I may buy a new one every now and then, but what I save on frames I can spend on strings.

I have bought used with the occasional new frame here and there. However, this summer I am going to get a couple of new PDR+ from TW and have them pick out ones close to a certain spec, and have them matched.

Duzza, what's with the 4 n6.1s; what made you switch? They are great racquets though, it was my favorite of the nCodes.

i buy new cuz because u dont kno whatpeople do to their rackets and i like keeping the rackets in good condition which isnt always the case when buying used.

Yeah, just happened to trade one for my last RDX 500 Mid as I was looking to get away from Pure Controls (painful after a while!). Had a few hits and found it to be a very solid racquet, nothing I could complain about. Stumbled across 3 for a great price (180 if you were wondering) and haven't stopped using since. I'm starting University this year so I'll have a fair bit of free time and will hopefully be a good year for some serious improvement in my tennis.

I bought 3 of my RDS 001's new and 1 used. At this point I would probably only buy used because 4 racquets is enough for me and I would only buy more if they were for too good of a price to pass up.

That is a great price and It is a great racquet. Happy playing, D. 6.1s do everything very, very well. I went from a HyperHammer 5.3 mp to the n6.1. I really liked it.

I got the PDR+ last summer and I had been waiting for it to give me problems, but non at all. It's great to play and to teach with.

May I inquire the reason for your disdain for previously "loved," used racquets?

I don't "disdain" the process of owning a used racket, but my personal preference has always been to buy a brand new set of rackets. It's just the way I feel; then again it might be a way of scorning using something that isn’t new. Is that wrong?

None whatsoever, not at all. You just seemed to energetically not want to own a used racquet, I found that curious. I meant nothing hostile if it was taken that way.

I only bought new...
But I am beginning to realize how much used racquets can save you from the financial burdens... I think Ill buy used racquets from now on...

But it becomes "used" the first minute you take off the plastic from the handle and hit a ball with it anyway.
