I bought mine used here and it came strung with Luxilon Natural Gut 16g 50# Mains/Wilson Revolve 17g 48# Crosses and it has tons of feel, spin, and a surprising amount of pop from the baseline. I can't afford natural gut moving forward, so I'll likely put in some MSV Hex Soft 17 at around 45 when these beauties break.

I've generally used thinner gauge strings (1.20mm or lower... usually 1.18mm or 1.15mm) in both the Mains and Crosses. Tension is in the mid-high 40s depending on the string.

I've used Weiss Cannon Red Ghost, Völkl Cyclone 18L, and MSV Co-Focus 1.18mm as some of the polys in the Mains (I've also used Syn Gut... just depends on what you're trying to achieve with the feel of the string bed).

For the Crosses, I've used Multi, Poly, and Syn Gut (depending on the feel I'm going for and playing characteristics). Some of the crosses have been: Ashaway MonoGut ZX, various Syn Guts (like Head PPS, Klip Tournament XL), and the polys I've mentioned.

I just bought one used after demoing it. I like it a lot . I am currently playing with Vcore 95 SV and the prestige has nicer sweet spot (definitely more forgiving) and back hand slices are better and really sweet. However I haven't found much spin on the FH ... I get more spin and pop on the Vcore 95 SV. But I don't know yet what the Prestige MP came with in terms of string.

Yes. Sorry for the delay. Life and work got in the way.
Prestige Pro -formerly the MP- With the update coming on the construction of the racquet it plays a bit softer in the throat area and feels closer to a classic Pro Staff. The Head is still 98 and feels solid all around. No changes there beside the name and new construction.

Prestige Tour - formerly the Pro - feels great all around. This frame was not a box beam with the Graphene 360+ and is now back with the box beam. Crisp all around feel. No complaints here. For a 16x19 I think it feels as good as an RF97 (which I competed with for 3 years)

Prestige MP - Formerly the Tour - no changes here. This was the first prestige I played with. It has the most power of the 3. After switching to the Graphene Touch MP I had trouble hitting with the 99in frame. Feel is a bit better and the new construction absorbs vibration a bit more so it should be a bit more arm friendly if it wasn’t already compared to the other 2.

no specs really changed this time around except the construction and paint jobs.

Have not but I can get their numbers and share them. I would be surprised if they changed much although with the new construction maybe it’s dropped a bit.

I’m just excited I may be getting my hands on some original PT280’s! Then I can really compare the past and the present.

I've gone back to the PMP+ as my main choice again, after a brief flirt with the New Radicals (sic). They're such a joy to play, especially on hardcourt. Even when I lose the point, I feel so much in control and enjoy every shot. This frame loves going toe-to-toe against flat hitters, and it gives you amazing control for shaping your shots. I thought it would be a handicap to my game, especially on serves, but the weight and balance (esp the weight distribution) makes it so easy to swing for me, so I am actually serving better and faster than with the Rads. I guess it's a question of better flow and timing rather than max RHS.

This is a frame I would love to test in a more open pattern, like 16x19, 16x20 or perhaps even 16x18.
But on fast playing HCs, it's hard to beat for flat, aggressive play.

If the new one adds something, without taking something away ... <3

What string and tension are you using? I got my three PMP+ last week and I'm really enjoying them, took some rebalancing and changing replacement grip to my liking, right now at 340 gram including bumper. I don't prefer to use bumper but got so much vibrations from first hour of play, I suspect that it may stem from incorrect stringing from Retailer, where one end of the string is outside of the bumper on one side, perhaps someone can verify if that could imply some issues?

However, I feel Head Lynx Tour 1.25 is a tad too powerful, I'll be testing Alu Power 1.25 next but have a few others in mind mainly Head Lynx 1.25 and MSV Focus HEX 1.23. I felt Head Lynx Tour 1.25 worked much better in my GPro, perhaps it is offering more bite in that frame.
 
Been playing with the PMP 360+ for 6 months now, and I have to say I think i´ve found my home with this racquet. Amazing for semi-flat attacking strokes and very manoeuvrable thanks to the HL balance. I think I've found my setup also, Lux4g 1.25 22/20, yonex leather grip+ supergrap over. Replaced the weighted trap door with the non weighted one for same balance. around 340g now. Would love a 16/19 for clay though.

The PMP+ came strung with two diff Weiss Cannon strings at around 45 lbs. Seems to be 1.25 or less. Great ball pocketing and feel, nice pop. Haven't tried any WC strings before, besides ultra cable.
The Rad Pro+ is strung with Lynx 1.25 at 48 lbs. Not too firm, but no noticeable ball pocketing either. A bit lifeless.
The Rad MP+ is strung with Lynx Tour 1.25 at 48 lbs. Pretty firm with little ball pocketing. Nice, direct power.

It's really hard to stay competitive with the PMP+ on clay in the fall when the courts are damp and very, very slow. Add to that the fact that the bounce gets even more unpredictable as the season goes on, since they only "resurface" the courts in the beginning of the season. I think even a 16x18 or 18x16 version would have been interesting to test out.

Try Weiss Cannon Red Ghost... it's a red 1.18mm textured poly (kind of like Völkl Cyclone). I use it in the Mains at 46 lbs and then a Syn Gut in the crosses (or another softer poly also in 1.15 or 1.18mm at 43 lbs).

If this is the replacement for the current 360+ Prestige Tour (99sq in; 18x19; 305g and an excellent tweener/platform stick that is criminally ignored), that's either an overspec or it's been beefed up. Shame SW isn't nearer 330, but it's still an intriguing prospect.

I've strung my 360+MP with RPM Blast and Head Lynx Tour 17. Really like both at 48lbs, after an 1hr or so break-in.
 
Perhaps a bit OT but seeing this is kind of the official PMP thread, one of my three racquets looked like this after stringing at retailer. The string is sitting upon the cap. Should I restring this one, I have been getting a lot of vibrations with this one and I might be imagining but also a somewhat irregular stringbed from Head Lynx Tour 1.25 that I usually like, is it a problem or no?

I wouldn't let that racquet out of the shop if I were being paid to string it. The CAP grommets are a pain to string with, but warping the cap and leaving that string exposed like that would be a big no-no at my old shop. Have 'em restring it.

That’s on the tie-off. They should have taken a starting clamp or bent needle nose pliers and pull the string hard until it was inside the CAP grommets. Then you tie-off. It’s not hard to string a racquet with CAP grommets. You just need to be a halfway decent stringer and pay attention to the details. Crap job. You should get your money back for the string and labor and go to a different stringer.

As @vsbabolat said, that happens at the tie-off if the stringer isn't vigilant and doesn't give the string a firm pull to get it tucked into the string channel under the CAP before tying off. You can probably get the string to re-seat under the CAP if you use a narrow metal spudger (obviously make sure it's a rounded end rather than pointy) and gently lever the string to one side and lift the edge of the CAP that's pushed in.

The (pseudo) CAPs on present day Prestige racquets are relatively soft, thin plastic, so amenable to a bit of manipulation to re-seat the string. The (bona fide) PEBAX ones like the TK52s on my PT600s are a lot thicker and harder. Even so, I could usually spudger things into place if my stringer had an off-day and did something like this.

It's worth showing this to your stringer and if he takes any pride in his craft, will be more vigilant the next time.

The only string which gets a bit of a pain is Tecnifibre mulitis. They’re very mushy strings and when you get down to the throat and last two crosses can be a little bit of a pain.
