I discardit's your choice what to do with this information.
you can simply discard it.
I didn't do it (write that I hit with Gravity), even I had no documents signed with Head or my coach when I got to hit with it.
But... writing more, or posting pictures had the risk to generate troubles.
So, I can decide to write or not to write that I got to hit with Gravity.
I can as well decide to write that I have seen Prestige characteristics or not to write.
You can decide if you discard this or become jealous that I didn't write more.

what I heard from someone is that they are dialing back the plethora of weights they had in the last realease, pro, mp, mp lite, lite, tour, rev.pro, s, etc, etcI’m guessing the mid is still the rebranded Rev Pro
But the Rev Pro mold continues as the Mid again? That’s my questionwhat I heard from someone is that they are dialing back the plethora of weights they had in the last realease, pro, mp, mp lite, lite, tour, rev.pro, s, etc, etc
I guess it was abit too much, or too confusing on the last release, so now they are sticking with the major weights or fewer this time
the head gravity realease has this issue, too many weight options, IMO
that's provably correct!!??But the Rev Pro mold continues as the Mid again? That’s my question
Actually it's already good news!Happy to answer any questions you have. It's very similar to last years model only more stable with a bigger sweet spot.

How they measure frame with paint or without?20mm on the mp
Paint is not thick enough to make a differenceHow they measure frame with paint or without?
So 4 layers of paint are less than 1mm? Think you are kinda heading that way mate.Paint is not thick enough to make a difference
Definitely. So 4 layers of paint are less than 1mm? Think you are kinda heading that way mate.
Sorry mate. I have a written review of the mp right here but I can't post until I get the green light. I actual am sponsored and don't want to screw that up.Every year these guys come on here and say “I hit with the new ——- but I can’t say anything about it.” So why say anything? It’s not like you’re really telling us anything by saying “I did like it though.” Goofy
we have a new thread started on this stringHowever, you want to talk about the new head experimental string I can do that. It's a new string breaker string, kinda like.luxilon ace. I believe they will call it 'Gravity Tour' but u didnt hear it from me.
I really hope they dont. They already sell a Gravity Tour tennis racquet, and moving the Gravity name from string to racquet was confusing enough. It would be classic Head to have completely misleading names for things.I believe they will call it 'Gravity Tour' but u didnt hear it from me.
Pro Kennex 19,5 mm TW specs, and I measured other day test racquet 20,5So 4 layers of paint are less than 1mm? Think you are kinda heading that way mate.
It can also be manufac. bias. Not sure it has to do with the paint. But if it does; you basically have 4 ground layers of paint + 4 top layers of paint involved in measuring thickness, that is def. at least 1mm.Pro Kennex 19,5 mm TW specs, and I measured other day test racquet 20,5
Got any more details on the specs? And a picture perhaps?Hit with the new MP today. It's really nice. WAAAY better than all other graphene prestiges. It's soft and has a good feel to it. I feel like it's really similar to the v7 18x20 blade. (But better, I'm really not a blade person) Definitely not a true prestige mp but it's a solid racquet for sure.
What would you say a true Prestige is?Hit with the new MP today. Definitely not a true prestige mp but it's a solid racquet for sure.
My VC95 has a paint chipping problem. Entire chunks on paint chip off so I can see how think just the paint is. Definitely thinner than 0.5mm. I'd compare it to the thickness of a sheet of printer paper. It can also be manufac. bias. Not sure it has to do with the paint. Prestige Pro 600/Classic 600What would you say a true Prestige is?

Bet they placed some extra weight at 3 and 9 to increase the sweetspot. From what I’ve heard the Pro is supposed to be a little heavier this go round - 11.3oz unstrung instead of 11.1?
Maybe, it would be good if they could compete with the Pure Strike Tour.Bet they placed some extra weight at 3 and 9 to increase the sweetspot.
If they manage to make it feel good then I give it a good chance. I often play a Graphene Prestige Pro at 325 grams with extra weight on 3 and 9 and it plays suprisingly well, it becomes a total different racketMaybe, it would be good if they could compete with the Pure Strike Tour.
What racket are you talking about? It's all red and they changed the mould and looks better in real life, has a interesting head symbol and the tour looks like it could be good. The mp is actually bigger than the pro and I didn't know of an s model, also the grip shape is different and the weight. Yay
The MP. In HEAD’s ultimate wisdom they decided to change the mold on the MP make it a true 98 while the “Pro” stays the same unchanged 95. Makes no sense what HEAD does. What racket are you talking about?
Ugh. Brown? Why cant they just stick with the beautiful dark red everyone loves.I am bracing myself for all the backlash for the new color scheme. Saw it yesterday in person and it is very polarizing IMO. A lot of brown/maroon tones that make it look more retro than modern. I'll be sticking with my Gravity
Why can't they keep both the MP/Pro at 95... which it's been at forever. New size? NP but don't change the molds of the ones that work!Ugh. Brown? Why cant they just stick with the beautiful dark red everyone loves.
wasn't current consensus that Prestige isn't anymore a true Prestige? Why can't they keep both the MP/Pro at 95... which it's been at forever. New size? NP but don't change the molds of the ones that work!
Personally I don't buy the "consensus" thing even though with that said I don't like the current feel of the Prestige. With that said, it's the only frame of Head's that is 95".wasn't current consensus that Prestige isn't anymore a true Prestige?
so if the last version is not a true Prestige anymore, why not make changes?
you should get the Head product managers for a talk over coffee / beer.Personally I don't buy the "consensus" thing. Personally, I don't like the current feel of the Prestige. With that said, it's the only frame of Head's that is 95".
I have a few friends who have never used a Prestige before, move to one because they liked the feel of a smaller head size (speed -> Radical -> Prestige).
Sure make change,s but why go to a 98? You already have Radicals at 98... And you can make a Prestige Tour or whatever and make that a 98. The Gravity had a good debut for feel, something that Head has missed in a LONG time. Why not try that out in the prestige MP?
Wasn't 100% sure if that was sarcasm or notyou should get the Head product managers for a talk over coffee / beer.
or many talks.
it wasn't a sarcasmWasn't 100% sure if that was sarcasm or notBut I'll assume it wasn't...
Don't we all wish we could right?
You know what I know Head takes a lot of flack around here especially for traditionalists. For the record, I actually loved Graphene in my Head Skis (or whatever marketing gimmick they put in there lol) ... so I don't think the tech(marketing) is terrible.
I wouldn't say I'm a traditionalist even though I stopped liking the feel after the IG.
With that said, this isn't so much about Head Prestige's not feeling buttery smooth anymore and how their new tech/changes suck. I'm just a bit baffled from a business point of view.
If Head only head one line (the Prestige), sure by all means, they need to try different head sizes to appeal to a larger market. But they don't. Head arguably has too many... so if they can afford to do that, why cut out a key differentiator? You've already potentially lost the traditionalists, so now you have to convince the new user between a Radical 98 and a Prestige 98. This makes it harder for the sales staff too as let's be honest not all of them know the products to a tee like we do on here.
At least with a Presige 95 if the feel is good (and the Gravity was..) you have a chance to win people back and now you throw in another curve ball.
Sorry for the long /rant.
Back on topic though, would still love confirmation on the MP being a 98 and the Pro being a 95..![]()
Better than IG Prestige? By all accounts that was a excellent frame which stayed true to the Prestige's roots. The new Prestige is similar to a Gravity 98. It’s a great frame - it’s not a classic Prestige, but it’s the best Prestige since the Flexpoint era.
Regarding the change in frame size, you may as well say that Head has finally listened and returned the Prestige to its roots - they just didn’t knew that the “98” on the old Prestiges was actually a 95...
