I have all the new prestige, and coming from a PT630 I did not like the mid nor the mp nor the pro, I really liked the Tour, I will post a review soon.

I don't understand why HEAD took the Rev Pro and renamed it Mid

First of all, why they called the Mid Rev Pro?

Because the Rev Pro is not a mid.
This is the real Prestige Mid if anyone has any more questions

I just compared my IG Mid with Rev Pro. Both are nominal 93 inch. Why did they rename the last 93 Mid a Rev Pro?

I guess the question for me is more why the racquet known as the Rev Pro is still around at all even if renamed the "Mid"? The sales can't have been great. So even if we concede that sales for the original Mid could never be what they once were in the current retail environment, anyone who has ever played the OG Mid knows how great it is. Built in following that has to be greater than the tiny following the Rev Pro must have. I guess I would just love to see the numbers the bean-counters are basing these decisions on.

IG Prestige Mid is smaller and with a thinner beam than the Graphene Prestige Rev Pro. They are different head sizes and different molds.

Still begging my question. :) Where did this Rev Pro come from? Imitating Dunlop Revelation Pro? As for the size, by Head marketing "standards", they are all 600. We are talking here etymology and hermeneutics not metric standards. ;)

Looks like a slightly larger-headed mid for people who don't like CAP grommets: a Rev-ised Pro? It should be that, even if it isn't.

Some of these large companies should employ a historian to write beautifully-illustrated books about their history and racquets.

Head is trying to be cutting edge and use new materials and designs to their new models, just like Prince has done. It too bad they did not think much about their loyal users base, many like me has switch to Wilson, until Head gets it act back to more traditional racquets designs and great looking graphics. Head is like Prince has lost their way, but Prince now is slow turning around and release better racquets again. Head?...

It came from the same place the XT Speed Rev Pro came from - the garbage. How cool would it be if each of these were solid racquets, instead of unmodifiable garbage?! Frustrating. Head just keeps crying wolf - new racquet paint and hype covering complete garbage.

I gave up and sold out all Rev Pro keeping only one G to remind me what it feels like even when heavily customized. Dirty cheap PP Art of War with its 320 g and <50 RA has more appeal to me...

    What is Head doing?
I swear, they're all on crack or something.
Why is the Prestige so damn light?
Why is the lightest Prestige in the range given the "Tour" designation? Last I checked, "Tour" meant it was heavier...

Yonex have done it, dropped a stick 5g. And why do a ‘Touch’ version. Because all the ‘touch’ thing brings is a horrid muted feeling.
And nobody buys a racket thinking “nah I don’t want to feel connected to the ball at all”...

The HEAD racquets during Its Twaron era were all very muted. Absolutely no shock and vibration in those racquets.

I wonder how it compares to the premier, it was supposed to be a mid but it was bigger, not 18x20, didn’t live up to the comparison to the prestige...

Maybe they are looking to save money on shipping from China?

Have you tried customizing a Graphene racquet vs a regular racquet?

Maybe getting rid of some surplus lead would reduce the swing weight to a more manageable level?

Does this frame have spilt grommets at 12 or are they a full flush head guard?

Well, it would seem I lucked out and getting a Tour frame for the playtest. I am not a prestige guy at all and have never played with these frames. However pretty cool to try them out. I don’t mind muted at all if it means vibration/shock free with a good connection/feel to the ball. These are not mutually exclusive as some people seem to imply by their angry comments on muted. And 18x19 pattern is interesting although I have always played 16x19 or 16x20. Frame is on the lighter side but SW is semi healthy and can be easily increased with some weight at the tip.

Curious if you were able get a few & mod them up, and what your thoughts were? I was selected for the playtest, and they said we're allowed to post reviews of them modified, provided we also post reviews unmodified. I'd like to know what you did as far as lead/silicone amounts & placement. My 'ideal' specs are 320g, 9-10pts HL.

My initial thought is to replace the grip w/ a leather (adding ~ 6g), then a 2nd overgrip as I prefer 4 1/2" (adding ~ another 6g). That will get me close the 317g. Then add lead at 3/9/12 to balance out.

But, I'm open to other suggestions...

I’m betting the Tour is this same mould, just Grapheneized.
