New Prince Line: January 2009 (Pictures + Specs)

which are the other models prince in exit, always exo3 or still speedport?

I believe I can translate.

Which models will Prince discontinue? Will all of their rackets be EXO3 or will they still offer Speedport Rackets?

Is this the gist of the question?

^^^ If it is indeed the question - the SP Red, and Silver is going away as well as the SP Tour. There may be more in the future.

probably after the rebel and graphite, there will be other models exo3s will go out, there is some news?
maybe exo3 diablo, white, tour etc?

EXO3 Diablo

you should ask about the EXO3 Diablo to prince directly - would definitely be interested in that! The Global Head of Racquets at Prince is online and answering questions from players about everything related to EXO3.

Trying to find out a lot about EXO3 Rebel Team and already asked a few questions and reported back on TW with the info.

I got my exo3 graphite mid and it's killing me how Prince didn't include the other set of grommets. I call tw and you can't even buy the hole version yet. I call Prince directly and they can't give me a straight answer... Big fumble in my opinion by Prince. The racquet comes with ported, has anyone been able to get the hole version?

the other online store said this.
'The EXO3 Graphite 100 comes from the factory with the string PORT insert installed. The string HOLE insert grommet set will be available for purchase separately in March 2009'

someone told me that Every Chinese factories close about two - three weeks for the Chinese new year holiday so there will be some delay on the production.

I have a set for the 100, but not the 93 unfortunately.

Ahh that's too bad for all of us waiting for the hole inserts. The ports don't feel that bad, but I like the crunch of hole grommets.

gung hay fat choy!

^^^Rumors abound. At a recent meeting, Prince suggested that the Diablo may be available in the second half of the year. They're probably working on White and Black EXO3's as well.

I just called tw and they said prince isn't going to release hole inserts for the exo3graphite 93. I was at the sap talking to someone in the prince booth and they say they're out... wtf is going on here

if the booth had some for sale i would've bought them alllllll, but unfortuneately they didn't have any.

mitchman did your rep give you any release date for the 93 hole insert? thanks in advance

my source told me it will be available around march.
because of Chinese factory issue (they had Chinese new years holiday so many factories closed for at least two weeks).

Straight from the horse's mouth. Tyler from Prince replied me on his blog.

Hey Kace,

Wow, what a great and detailed post. Let's hope that I can answer your questions with as much depth...

To start, it is important to know that we used the Classic Graphite 93 to benchmark the development of the new EXO3 Graphite 93 in every way. Right down to the mm in terms of cross section shape and dimension.

The static weight is 330g, which was the standard for the Original Graphite. Of course it is possible to find racquets that are slightly heavier since this is a natural by product of mass production.

Now, from my personal opinion this is the best execution of a Graphite follow up that has been made to date. Through the development process we used almost exclusively POG players to ensure that we were "dialed in" to the playability. The results, I think speak for themselves.

Regarding the butt cap and "asian" spec points, here is what we have done.

The new EXO3 Graphite uses the same standard butt cap that we used on our performance racquets for the past few years. This is the butt cap with the flanges and not the older style that was used.

As far as the alternate specs go, we only produce a special weight for the Japanese market. As with all manufacturers, racquets sold in this market tend to be 10-15g lighter overall than their global counterparts. This is unique to the Japanese market and no additional "asian" spec is produced.

In any case, I think that if you are a fan of the POG then I think you may be pleasantly surprised with how it plays. I can't wait to get your feedback once you get a chance to take it out on court.

Thanks again for your post,

Tyler

I thought the Kobra was ugly, these are horrific!! They are definitely playing to the younger crowd with these. Can you imagine a guy or woman in their 50's swinging one of these!! Might as well be wearing leopard shorts to go with it.

Kids do get what ever they want, so maybe their strategy is genius.

My father is in his 50's and now using the Graphite 100. I've made it clear that he may not wear leopard shorts, so don't worry.

I have been trying both the rebel 95+ the graphite 93.They are both real nice racquets, themitchmans reviews on these 2 sticks is pretty accurate.

At first i thought the rebel was the best for me, but now i am leaning towards the 93.With the rebel having the stringhole inserts+ the 93 with the ports you cant make a good comparison. To me any of the prince racquets that have that option, the stringhole inserts always play much better.

The 93 swings much easier, really easy to whip. While the rebel 95 can feel a little clunky.I was surprised by the amount of topspin i get off the 93, the ball really jumps off the court. The problem with the 93 is the control is lacking because it does not have the stringhole inserts.

The 95 has real nice control, you can really feel the difference with the stringhole inserts.Much better bite+distinct feeling, the slice was very good from this stick. One thing i didnt like was it was pretty jarring on off center hits.Feels great if you hit the sweetspot, but not if you miss.

Like i said these are both really nice sticks, but i cant wait for the stringhole inserts for the 93. Then i can make the decision on which one to go with.

I just strung up my exo 93 graphites with the hole inserts and lemme tell you it is night and day in terms of feel. The feedback is much crisper than I thought it'd be. I'm much happier with these sticks now.

i just tried the rebel 95 and it was nice ... similar feel as the Wilson K Factor KSix-One Tour 90 Racquets but the other one the graphite 93 sucked it just felt weird

Thanks a lot totoro. How much difference did you notice from the ports to the string holes?

Sure np. There was a huge difference in the way the racquet played. The first ball I struck I was suprised at how crisp the string bed was especially after using ports since the exo graphite's release. The feel was consistant throughout the string bed except for the upper hoop. The ports win over holes if u hit high on the bed. I have 2 of these racquets and I might try porting the top of the frame for fun.

Funny - I do not like the Rebel because I like the muted feel of the speedports and cannot stand the pinging noise of the stringhole ports.

In my opinion, if you are a baseliner, the Rebel is a nice racquet.

I much prefer the headlight balance of the Graphite 93. It plays much larger than its size due to the large sweet spot from the speedports. Volleys with the graphite are awesome - heavy and deep. Ground strokes with the graphite are wimpy, though, unless you really swing at the ball. The Rebel gives you a lot more free power. I think what would be be really nice is the Rebel with the speedports to make the face a little less demanding.

prince misses a model from 97/98 inch from years, excluding the alone sp tour, the last produced mp it is the good tt warrior, too much little.
now that the segment 93/95 are fixed with 3 models exo3,prince must makes some mp 97/98 models.
