Love the updated look.
Curious about the fit of these vs the Hypercourt Express that I've been wearing recently. Anyone familiar?

SinneGOAT,

Unfortunately, there will not be a mid version of the T22.5 at this time.

Thanks,

The T22 hurt my foot so bad because of that plastic on the side of the foot. Like I literally couldn't play 40 minutes in them. Good move to remove it.

I wear T22's because my orthopedist told me to wear shoes with as stiff sole as practical. How does this new T22.5 model compare to T22 in terms of stiffness?

Seems to be the same sole, I haven’t worn either but the sole seems to be the same, only difference is the upper which is lighter and more breathable.

these weigh less than the T22 lite. However, it says the arch is Lower than Medium. I have supination so it is still fine.

Anyone tried these yet ? I liked both T22 and the Lite versions. However the T22 ran into different fitting iterations for a while so I gave up on them. Then the Lites came out and while I liked them quite a bit I was a bit worried about stability and ended up moving on. If these are in fact like the Lites but a bit more stable I'd like to give them a try again. The Lites insole was less beefy than the regular ones, so would also be good to have confirmation about which insole us used here.

Just got mine but haven't played in them yet. I usually walk a week or so in them to break them in.
They feel more lite than the T22 Lites.
only 6 eyelets vs 7 eyelets in the T22 lites. not terrible since I only used 6 of them on the T22 lites anyway.
** they are tighter in the big toe area. I am hoping they will loosen/widen in that section and part of the break-in period.

Hmm,

I'm not sure I've seen an uglier shoe outside of orthopedic shoes for the barely mobile.

I'll say upfront that I'm a "performance first / looks second" kind of guy, but I don't think I'd be seen in those if I have a pulse.

And, yet, Prince frames (esp Phantoms) look heavenly.

Must be two different design groups ...

Hi, did you have a chance to play in these yet ? What's your take ? Itching to get these to try but still have couple of pairs to finish off so not sure if I should rush into it, lol.

I am a Kirkland tennis shoe wearer and was blown away by the tech that went into the design and materials in that shoe.....yeah I'm retired and unemployed but seeing that shoe made me think about getting a job.....

I like the look but just sent mine back because the toe width is much tighter "for me" than the T22 lite. I tried to break these in using people's tips but exp'd no change at all. I'll wait for a newer style or update. Another guy in the review area on the site said the same thing.

^^^Thanks..The thing is the T22 Lite were fine for me width wise, I just wasn't super happy with the stability of that shoe as I had some injuries in the past. That other reviewer indicated same fit but possibly more protection especially at toe area. You seem to feel these are somewhat narrower in toe box than Lites, so a bit confused. I have medium width needs, just like feel of a bit more width in toe box, but don't require it.Probably should still try them for myself.

Hi, I was told the same by my podiatrist. I have custom orthotics because one of my feet are in pain every time I play. I was wearing Nike Vapors and the podiatrist told me they were too soft. However, he couldn’t recommend any tennis shoes except for Brooks, which I don’t think even make any worthwhile tennis shoes. How did these work for you? I have to say I never loved the style of these shoes, but in terms of stiffest shoe, they might fit the bill unfortunately. Do you know of any other shoes that are stiff? I’m going to start a new thread on that too so I don’t hijack this one. Thanks!

I don't know any stiffer shoes - but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Maybe somebody from TW's shoe department can chip in with a bit of advice..

When I wear T22's to play tennis, I hardly ever feel pain in my feet, so they work as intended. My only complain about them is they don't have wide sizes, so I ended up going up one size in length. I can wear them comfortably for 1-1.5hrs on court, but not for an entire whole day. Even a 2-3hrs car ride can be uncomfortable.
