New Pro Staff 97 for 2019

Anybody know if Wilson will offer a new PS next year that will advance the tech? In other words, a proper upgrade. We've been running on the same spec since 2014.

Countervail doesn't count... a bizarre and counter intuitive concept for a feel racket.

Thx

I saw you had the latest reply. I clicked anyway against my better judgement. And I was disappointed by the same nonsense of little value.
I’m not in this world to live up to your expectations and you’re not in this world to live up to mine. B.L.

Is this it? Is he simply saying that the 2019 version will be released in May and is going to be a black on black PJ of the black and white (tuxedo) version with softer (than 2016) flex in the hoop?

Wilson is putting all emphasis on the Clash. Was talking to a sponsored coach he said all members of advisory staff are to push the Clash as hard as possible, then Ultra, then Prostaffs, then Blade. It would be sad to see the Blade go.

That doesn't mean the Blade will go, it means that the Blade as the Pro Staff is a successful line that doesn't need a strong marketing push.

If you want to updgrade from the non CV Pro Staff 97 then get a RF97. You can get red/red, black/black, black/white. They are all the same.
I have a couple of non CV black/red PS97’s that I added weight to with a leather grip and Tourna lead weights at 3 and 9. Bit lighter than the RF97 but still prefer the RF.

There are people that say the different pj's on the Pro Staff mke the racquet perform different.

All of the new ones have the same paint 16’, 17’, 18’. The old RF97 and PS97 that are black/red seem a bit stiffer or less muted than the ones with the soft feel paint.

It wouldn't make a lot of sense to put the Blade paint job on the racquets of so many pros if you were planning to discontinue the line.
