New Pro Staff

Good question.

If Wilson is that smart, then it will be the biggest profit if they reopen the St Vincent factory to reproduce PS85, PS90, PS95, and even PS100.

The PS85 reissue wasn't a spectacular success though.
PS90? Its sales was driven by old Feddie.
The light PS95/95S and 100 were available for a long time after being discontinued.

I can see some demand for a heavy PS95 but I highly doubt Wilson would torpedo the sales of the current PS97 frames...

A Clash type Pro Staff should get players excited.

I assume with Clash and Blade released this year that Wilson will update the Ultra Tour and Pro Staff line next year.

It will be interesting to see where this "Clash Innovation" will be placed to ProStaff ?

Clash line has it in the throat, Blade in head, ProStaff ?

I meant softness of the racquet. Clash is very soft in the throat, but Blade is more in the head of the racquet. It is more free flex vs feel flex, basically the same techologies only placed in different places.

Thanks to inaccurate leaks in some obvious and misleading + irresponsible threads, I can tell you THERE IS STABLE SMART technology in the new pro staff buttcaps, free flex technology in the pws system combined with woofer system grommets for more spin and feel. On top of that there is VDM mesh in the handle for the new pro staffs. Isometric trap door installed in on the buttcap for extra sweet spot when you hit the ball on the buttcap.
LASTLY, A FLEXPOINT TECHNOLOGY will be also inserted on the pws for extra pinpoint accuracy.

Dear readers, please keep in mind that Wilson does not define places where these techs are used and the quoted statement is only a personal view of the author.

Don't forget the often neglected Ultra Tour. They just need to boost the power of the Ultra Tour.
Honestly I think the frame is fine as it is. It's not supposed to be a power frame - it's very control oriented.

As a baseliner myself I didn't fall in love with it when I tested it, but that's just because of personal preference.

Wilson should make the box beam Pro Staff a PERMANENT fixture in its racquet lineup at 85, 90 and 95 sq in sizes. It is an iconic line and will never go out of style. I still play with the 90 a lot and really enjoy it.

Pro Staff line on sale now - so could the update be closer than expected, closer than next year?

My guess is FeelFlex placed in a similar way as was done in the Blades?

Any photoshoppers out there want to take a stab at what a new pro staff might look like? Gray on the sides like the Clash and Blade, and white at the top of the hoop?
