New Pro String Flying Clamps

I just caught a glimpse of the new Pro Stringer flying clamps, they look quite innovative with the tapered teeth.
This will allow them to clamp various string widths by adjusting the depth of the clamp.
The Stringway flying clamps have a new rival me thinks.

Given how expensive the Pro Stringer is, I'd imagine these will be pretty pricey as well. And as nice as these look, will be tough to unseat Stringways as the king of floating clamps. Wonder why the Pro Stringer clamps don't have a dial to adjust the clamps, and instead have a Phillips screw?

Any idea if I should get the Pro Stringer Oversize or just the standard flying clamp? There doesn't seem to be much info out there on why you'd want the oversize or the standard. My current flying clamps aren't ideal for some of the rackets with wider spaced strings (particularly the crosses nearest the throat) so I'm looking at the two Pro Stringer flying clamps or alternatively the cheaper (plastic) Prince Universal flying clamp. I would also like the clamp to handle fan patterns which the Prince is advertised as being able to do. I like my current flying clamps otherwise, just not for the wider spacing and I don't think they will make a good job of a fan pattern. Any thoughts?

The Claws are angle to adjust to the different spacing of strings. The M claw will easily handle normal spacing but often you will have wider spacing on the outer strings. I have 2 M and 1 L Claw. When string the mains I general only use the M Claws until I get to the outer mains when I’ll leave the M Claw on the next to last main while clamping the outer main with the L Claw. I tend to get less drawback that way.

Flying clamps are definitely much less than ideal for fan patterns.

how many times have you seen a racquetball, or squash, racquet being strung with flying/floating clamps?
Pretty close to never.

Well flying clamps grip by clamping string on both gaps, and it's a straight clamp. So any fan shaped string pattern will have a bit more string pulling on the wider end of the clamp. Any flying clamp that are fixed width will do that for a gap that's too wide or even too narrow. The Pro Stringer Claws have the tapered head to adjust to the string width, and the L claw does open patterns very well.
Now as other posters have mentioned, string patterns aren't always exactly parallel. So does the extra string pulling from flying clamps affect performance? Personally I've blind tested the Stringway Triple clamp vs PS Claws, where I have my kid string 2 matched racquets with each clamp only five times, and I picked the PS Claws every time, because I felt the stringbed was a little tighter overall in play. I can't test tension durability as I usually break strings around the 10 hr mark.
However, in a comparison with my stringer's Wilson machine, once I adjusted the tension for the PS, my kids and I play as well with home stringing as much as my pro's stringing. So it's about getting the tension within your preference. However, if you're stringing for others, then it's more trial and error.
