Just saw leaked photos on google too. The beam looks exactly the same with a babolat drive max 110 paint job lol. If they also come out with a VS version then that's probably the smaller head with flat beam they're talking about.il I really hope it looks better in person. I hate all puredrive paintjobs but I use it anyway haha.

Sweet baby jesus, I googled, and that is one UGLY racquet. That's from someone who LOVED the cosmetics of all the pure drives to date except for the Cortex version.

Reminds me of the Wilson Kobra Team FX, but even worse!

Cool pics! It does look slightly better in those pics. I'm not sure why I still don't like it considering its the same bright blue as the Pure Drive GT (and I loved the cosmetics on that one)! I really think it the weirdly placed Drive logo on throat, and how literally the entire racquet is blue.

I been a big proponent of the VS. I probably been messaging VSbabolat guy all about the 98 sq inch model. If there is a 98, i would purchase it. Thanks for the info!

Agreed, I don't like the graphics on the throat - how off is it off centre, looks daft to me. Maybe it will be different in person, but for now I much prefer the PJ on the 2015 model and the Pure Aero, where the graphics are based around the different angles and planes of the mould.

When I saw the new PD it was pointed out that there is also no short side and the woofer system has been removed. There are dimples on the inside of the hoop that are meant to help prevent counterfeit frames from being produced. If I get to string one I'll post the RA if possible I'll post a review as well.

Looks to be going that way with unstrung specs on many sites at 69, also balance 32cm 7 points, when strung with o.g and damp should be close to 325gr 5 points HL, 67ra.... not sure on SW

Unless the 'new' model has gained some weight, 309g unstrung appears to be outside of the generous +/- 7g tolerance. 72ra is disappointingly stiff too; especially without the mitigating aspects of the woofer system with regard to shock absorption. #armwrecker

I hit with the new Pure Drive today and very much enjoyed the overall playability of the updated version. I have always felt that previous versions were powerful but hard for me to control. I always felt that I could not count on the precision of older Pure Drives from shot to shot. With the new Pure Drive there was plenty of power but I felt that the predictability of the shot was there. The weight and balance felt very good in stock form but one could easily customize this frame to their liking. The frame was solid off the ground, volleying and serving. The spin potential was excellent.

I'll post more detail after playing with the frame for the week.

These look good. Maybe a bit more HH than I would like. So with the overgrip, its probably close to 330g and 4 points HL?

I'd have to see it in person but it doesnt seem too bad. I like how the D's make a sort of V-like design at the bottom of the throat.

In my opinion the graphics follow the same design cues as the Pure Aero.
