New racquet promo weight and balance difference

Hello, fellow tennis friends.

Would any of you have numbers on the weight and balance difference that all the promo stuff that comes in a new racquet makes? I'm referring to the cardboard stuff they put in the head.

Specifically, a new Wilson Blade v7. I'm trying to match 3 new frames to my current one, which came in relatively head light. Racquet is 32 cms standard, mine came in at around 31.7.

TW matching services tell me that all their racquets are between 32.3 and 33 cms, which makes me think that they obviously measure the balance with the cardboard on, and they also don't subtract it from the calculation.

Up to a full cm? That would be a lot. Hopefully not, because I wouldn't be able to match them to my current stick.

Yeah, a full CM probably is a bit extreme.

I'd also think it's a bit strange because you'll probably have to account for the plastic wrap on the handle as well, which you'd thought would help balance things out even just a little bit.

For sure. My guess is that my 31.7 Blade should have a balance close to the lower end of what they said is available (32.3), but don't know for sure.

I would've expected them to have this info dialed, (weight/balance change of the cardboard and plastic wrap) to give accurate info for us that pay $20 per racquet for this service.

One thing's for sure: I can't remove weight from the head, which is why this is an issue to me. I shoot for a strung weight of 347 and balance of 31.6 with OG after handle customization. The Blade 18x20 plays beautifully that way, to me.

If it comes too head heavy, my strung + OG static weight will have to be around 355 to get to that balance. A little too much.

I don't remember the exact shape of the cardboard in a v7 Blade but this shape card plus the two elastic pieces weighs 12 grams.

You are the man! Thanks! I'll figure out the balance difference once I get home tomorrow and post it here, for whoever is interested! I'm guessing a good 0.7 cm.
