New Racquet Releases 2024

Just wondering what racquets we can expect new releases for and even PJ updates for in 2024. So far, Dunlop's CX series, Wilson's Blades, Head's Speeds, and Babolat's Pure Strikes have all released new frames, but what else is realistic for this year? I searched for another thread on this but didn't see anything. Sorry if I missed a similar thread on this topic!

Wilson may see new Ultra/Clash and I suppose there were some whispers of an updated RF ProStaff (kinda wonder if they might refresh the whole ProStaff line given they're on sale etc...)

Current Pro Kennex inventory seems very low right now so I’m hoping it means that new frames are coming and the Prince Phantoms can’t be too far away either, along with more releases from the Volkl Vostra line,

I’m praying to the tennis Gods that we get the Frozen Emerald Twistpower 98x Tour, I would hope for the Purple/Blue previous gen but Prince Japan didn’t make a 97...why??

When are the new TF40s going to be shown? It’s the reveal I’m most looking forward to.

Will Tecnifbre keep the French flag motif? Or continuing to stay predominantly white with the lactose influence/acquisition?

Will they finally change the name? TF40 305 18m Is a mouthful, might take the percept route?

Most of the frames mentioned have had a new paint job or release at this point.

Are we going to have a slow second half of the year?
Will a new TF40 finally get shown off? (At this point I don’t care, I found a cheap OG TF40 & a pair of any racquet is enough for me lol)

Head Extremes (Radical potentially late in the year), Wilson Ultras potentially around US Open going by their last update, Pro Kennex, we just got the Prince Phantom update...

I think Wilson Clash would be updated before the Ultra. The new Ultras were just released 12-14 months ago whereas the Clash was 2+ years. My guess is Wilson will just release US Open paint jobs and no “new” updates until early 2025.

Ultra was start of US Open/end of clay 2022 so roughly two years, certainly by the end of the year will be 2+, and given the Ultras are less of a big deal on tour a later launch may make more sense, and then the popular with recreational players Clash during the AO/early 2025

@dr325i
I saw an interview with Dennis Fabian and TW where he said that Heads MP models are so popular that every model in the lineup should come in a lighter MP L version.
Does that means that a Radical MP L with 98 in head size will be released later this year?

I picked up a new x98 tour in Japan 3 weeks ago. Huge improvement over the previous generation Twistpower line in my opinion.
I just wish @Prince Tennis Official and @TW Staff could find a way to lock in the continuity of the TwistPower silo to the same degree as the Tours. As things stand, they're too flash-in-the-pan, with the keynote example being the X97 Tour (and grommets). For me, I would need to see 2+ generations of model continuity, including grommet availability that is never in question, to even begin to consider them as anything more than occasional novelty items. And that's a shame, but it is what it is.

Agreed. I was excited for the 2nd generation and the changes to the lay up but it didn't make any sense that they would scrap the 97 and change it to a 98

Agree. My 13yr son uses the x100 Twistpower and he loves holding the twist shaft but alas after the x100 tour there's no path to another frame so I probably will switch him off Prince. I think the Twistpower is Prince's best bet as their 'spin' line and think they are better off simplifying their current line to keep and expand the Twistpower lineup.

There was also message in this thread but it got deleted.

Pro Staffs in big sale on tw europe.
Looks like all the Wilsons are on pretty significant discounts. V9 Blades -40%. Prostaffs are between 37-52% off. That's kinda surprising though.

One thing I would wonder about, wonder if sales are down due to inflated prices. I also remember from when I used to buy a lot of my cycling gear from the UK that prices were a lot better, and from what some had said it was due to folks having less disposable income overseas. Not sure how valid that is, but if consumers in more of a crunch now it could be a reason why. Regardless, point stands that stuff is usually cheaper.

For the Prostaffs though, I'd definitely wonder if they're not selling well (hardly any relevant players endorsing them), and maybe they would try to clear out stock in hopes that new RF line improves things. I'm definitely curious about the rumored 320g. Sounds like a 16x19, but if it has denser pattern in the middle it would probably be something I want to try.

Drastic percentage discounts are needed to reduce inventory carrying costs.
Stagnate inventory is a tax burden..
Businesses also facing negative clash flow scenarios... a painful double whammy..

Why are they deleting posts ? You know what’s crazy? There are 65k posts objectifying women in a men’s only thread but if you mention a new Wilson RF line of racquets it gets deleted?
They've closed it down years (?) ago. And it's not involved with TW business.
Manufacturers tend to be a PITA. Even I was contacted by a couple representatives with e-mails on verge of harassment demanding to know where I got the info from.

Zero Point Energy isn't a new technology.. Just not many have incorporated it until very soon.. Clash and Shift Technology pale in comparison.. Auxetic material is more in alignment but builds on that approach 10x..
Imagine an Auxetic like material used through out the entire structure to capture and then return impact with very minimal effort..
Energy return will simply be profound..
