New Racquet Releases 2025?

I don't think the power and spin was as good on the XTC as it is now.
I’d prefer a more control oriented racket.
I understand the enjoyment of the slightly thicker beam on the iso 305. It’s “stable” sure. But I didn’t have to play around with the balance in the xtc 305. Stock was smooth.

Feel like I am constantly going back and forth on tweaking 310-318 grams static to maintain some control

Please post specs on the 305 please. Beam, Sw, balance.

Would be helpful as I’m in the market for either keeping my 305 iso, upgrading to the new tfight or going with gravity pro

305: SW 290, Balance 315.

I guess its a more "customizeable" setup, instead of already feeling like a pro-stock.

I might send you a private message.
Is the beam still 22.5?
I would love for it to go back to 22/22/21.5. I know folks love the increased power on iso but I thrived hitting with power spin and control on the xtc.

There was zero customization required.
Iso - I feel 7-10 grams is needed in the handle.

So what’s been the difference in playability between the 305s 18*19

XTC vs and the iso

Has the iso got the most spin ?
Box beam. Thinner beam. Lower SW.
xtc: same balance. 22/22/21.5 box beam 328 SW avg.

Iso: 22.5 r shaped constant beam. 338 avg SW. includes the iso flex grommets for better snap back.

Iso does have more free power with higher static SW and thicker beam. It does feel like it cuts through the air a bit better than the box beam xtc.

However for my game the xtc seemed more control oriented. Still had pop on all of my shots so I don’t really look for rackets that give me “free power”

The 2025 Pure Drive looks like a mix between the Swirly and 2018 version. It has that faded/blend look from blue to black? (could be navy), one color choice for the iconic stripes (black or navy, couldn’t tell) and bold font of Pure Drive in black (or navy) like 2018. The 98 will have similar but with red accents

What's going on with Volkl, are they going to release a new V1 and V1 pro ? Seems like it's been awhile since the Vcell version was out.

Don't know about you all, but I am waiting and spreading the word for Head to bring back Prestige classic 102 with below specs: (If head wants to stay in the game)
Ok so a Head Prestige with below specs:
100 or 102 sq inch head size,
21-22mm beam,
16 x19 pattern, RA flex between 58 - 62, not a point more,
strung balance 6-8pts head light,
strung swing weight exactly 321 or not more than 325.
This will sell like hot cakes and will bring head prestige brand back in the game.
Why did they release a classic 2.0 with 93 head size. They should fire that guy.
There was a classic Head Prestige with 102 head size back in the day, but they killed it.
In today's game to stand against heavy topspin, you need 100 or 102 at least (recreational one handed backhand 4.0 - 4.5 folks).
my brother in christ, this stick already exists. it’s called the prestige MP-L + a tiny bit of lead.

Head Size: 99 in² / 638.71 cm²

Yeap. But they are loosing customers due to the high SW. Most club players can’t use medvedevs racquet. Their marketing team heard those complaints and are making changes. They must found a way to produce stable racquets with low SWs like other companies do nowadays.
The SW on the 305 is kind of nuts. I get why, but rec players around 4.0+ are just not going to reach for a 315 even if it has a lower SW than the 305.

Hey Head, if you're listening, for whatever replaces Auxetic 2.0, will you please go back to truly direct/connected layups again? The extra muting/dampening filler nonsense has to stop. It's awful, across the board.
I quite like Auxetic 2.0. I feel connected and have direct feel. Reminds of the classic HEAD feel of the 80’s and 90’s.

I also like it a lot, along with the other dampening technologies from Wilson and Yonex, for example. For some of us that play every day or frequently, they are very nice.

I saw the video about T-Fight 2025 (now it has been removed).
Glossy white T-Fight 300 will be 100" with 320mm balance, also with the new tecnology T-Motion (or smth like that). If RA is lower than 66 and more comfortable than my 295g verson, I'll upgrade. Also want to try Ezone 100 2025. So waiting for these 2 rackets.

In the latest video from Jonas on his Patreon he hits with the blacked out Dunlops SX 300 & 300 tour...no huge judgements from him so far, definitely not in a negative way but honestly...is there a demand for these 2 frames? I don´t mean it in a bad way but I haven´t met anyone who plays with these, some people are not even aware of the SX line whatsoever.

Any of you guys are interested in the SX update?

Current one is a bit to yellow-yellow (300 Tour) and the beam is slightly to thick, otherwise I would have considernd to play against similar frames for a potential switch or side-stick.
I know that this should have been a Dunlop´s reply to Babolat´s Aero line but never really made it so far.

I mean that's more down to marketing/pro players than anything to do with the racquets - i feel like only really the 500 has made any impact on people with Popyrin and Draper using the PJ - especially when Aero has Alcaraz, Nadal, Rune and myriad other pros playing with it vs... Kecmanovic - i feel like ppl just aren't looking at the Dunlop

That's exactly the point - the endorsements for the SX line are lame...I can think only of Kecmanovic using it? And this is not a marketing thriller by any means. But Draper with Popyrin especially nowadays have nice visibility and the FX line might get some attention. I personally tried the standard and the tour FX 500 and they are quality frames but....they don't have the "X" factor unfortunately.

Yes you are right. When I hear Dunlop I only think of Tires.

I mean it used to be a pretty big deal until like 2010 or so - the launches of the MFil and Aerogels with Berdych/Mauresmo and quite a few other players were a pretty big deal as i recall.

Yep, and James Blake. A long steady decline from when the Max 200G was the cream of the crop back in the 80s. Their current racquets are great though, especially the new FX line - SX needs a refresh, and CX is getting better if not for their weird low swingweight issues.

Honestly they need to get away from the yellow/black paintjob for the SX series, it looks horrible and it's just a transparent copying of Babolot's use of that color scheme for spin rackets.

Shouldn't we get a new Prestige line in 2025? Can somebody confirm or deny? The last line came out in 2023 (although second half of the year - I think September). So maybe not in january but late summer 25?

Prestiges should be around this time in 2025, they are due and Head run like clockwork

The new radical is ORANGE as hell.

Salmon orange mix kind of like Cocos Boom. I wonder if this is an alternate and there will be a more toned down version or if this is what they’ll all look like
