New Racquet Releases 2025?

He did, but avoided it NOT for colors but other (in his head) reasons...
The 2021 Radical was equal or a better seller than the 2023 radical.
We should be seeing pros swing new Radical PJs soon and the retail will be launched in February
I hit with it back in April, but not sure if that was the final layup
Welcome back! Just one question on the Head line. I am a huge fan of the Prestige line, but I guess it is one of their worst selling lines. Will they still have new version coming out in late 2025 considering it is nearing the end of its two-year cycle? And what will it be called? Auxetic 3.0?

haha their employees in art/cosmetic departments really aren't scoring many points with consumers. I don't think Murray played with the 2021 paint job did he?
-the do look like toys!?!
-not very exited about the color ways, too plain and/or too simple!
-i dont like the prestige line color, dark and non appealing to me :cautious:
-radical looks somewhat ok, but a step down from the previous look :cautious:
-the extreme is the best color way, IMO (y) (y)
-instinct is also not great, but not ugly either (y)
-the speed is very plain, very vanilla! (n)

Noticed on one of the pages that folks think that there will be no Aero releases in 2025.. would that not match the cycle? The last 2 were 2019, 2021, and 2023? Or was 2021 only becuase the Rafa was released?

I mean we had 2019, 2021 Rafa, 2023, Rafa Origin 24... so prob 26

2019 was the yellow and black one
2021 was only a Rafa paintjob and the new PAVS
2023 was the new Aero with the camo paintjob

So the product cycle so far was 4 years, with a cosmetic update in between - but the Rafa Origin is already out

2025 is the year for new Pure Drive, my logical guess is that new Aero will only be released in 2026. Also Babolat is on a 3-year product cycle instead of 2 years like Head.

What’s the method behind the new pure strike paint job?
Is that the reason they’re not selling? Hearing the quality of the new update is great but people not liking the cosmetic

White for a Strike is the most bland option they choose from... Everyone was expecting a dark glossy and red paintjob just like the VS.
Apparently babolat read this and comply with a new paintjob and they will start seeing the sales incresing

Haha probably why they’re 25% off? I would have bit but the paint job is so ugly I’m not putting that in my bag if what they’re doing is just a paint update.

Actually I'm more surprised that even the Aero 98 is discounted but It’s great for everyone trying to get more racquets that they like.
Hopefully the paintjob will look better and now that other big manufacturers are hearing and making glossy paintjobs, babolat will be wise and do the same with this paintjob

The aero Rafa is discounted. Not the 98.

I’m one of those people even though it’s not an option for me atm if it was I would not buy or Use it because of the cosmetics as there’s so many options these days cosmetics count.

100% strings included. I will never use hyper g because of the atrocious color.

White communicates "pure" concept, and red for "strike". White is also considered technological, modern, futuristic color - expressing the idea of modern control.

I like to call pleener racquets that combine power and control "white category": Pure Strike, Speed, Whiteout, Shift, T-Fight, ATS Tour.

close. I talked to the graphic designer who came up with the idea. White actually represents lubriderm lotion and the red represents red bell peppers, these being two of the designers favorite things.

my brother in christ, this stick already exists. it’s called the prestige MP-L + a tiny bit of lead.

The prestige 102 plays totally different than the new mid plus light which I have three of which is a great stick, but plays more like a smaller frame. The prestige tour 660 102 in.² Racquet is probably one of the best rackets ever made with the suspension grip. It is a dated Racquet, though it’s not as forgiving as the newer frames. Yes I wish Head would make a new prestige. That’s 102. They sold a micro gel in a one 102 in Europe. It did not offer in the United States and it plays great but it’s a little too even Balanced .

I own probably 10 of the prestige tour 660 cm 102 square inch frames with the suspension grip - I wish they would make the new prestige in a one 102 in addition to the 99 in.² mid plus light.

Storm Kennelbach! Take no prisoners! (except the prestige tour 102 molds)

are they actually 102 or 99? i know heads measurement system used to be weird, believe it or not i was actually looking at this frame yesterday though!

True, the Prestige line has a very dwindling target audience nowadays and maybe Pro Staff as well.

I know mad respect for the old school racquet nerds, and I played with the prestige in the 90s, but I’m a competitive 53 year old trying to keep up with young guns at 4.5, and that line does not help me win points anymore

I feel you man. It’s not the viable competitive option it once was. These days it’s moreso a nostalgia play, but nothing wrong with that. Legacy and heritage are a good thing in the racquet industry imho. We should also consider the most winning player ever chopped up a bunch of aero pros and pure drives with a 95” head frame. So maybe those 98” prestiges of today will work for a talent junior out there

A sad reality

They are one 102 in.² because I also own the new mid plus light which is 99 and you can see that it’s smaller than the 102 - I have the original brochure of the Racquet. I can share here maybe - on a sidenote I am using the Prestige MP light new Racquet when I’m playing competitively

There will indeed be a new Prestige this year, if Head keeps up the 2 year rotation!

And if you can't compete with a Prestige anymore, the racket is not the problem... :p;)

So many racquets that can help you play better however! Loved the prestige, and of course I could win with it; can play better with others.
