What is that new RED string on Woz's racket ? looks like hybrid job but definitely red string in the crosses.

I would assume that she has gone back to her Revenge/VS setup that she was using. Those runs with the Yonex Tournament Poly didn't go so well for her.

you may have a point. but from TW forum users,,,Revenge string sucks ??

IIRC, users here (and several others that I played with) said that Revenge was a good string but not special or worth the price. I hit with it briefly in a friend's PSLGT and that was pretty much the impression that I got. Decent string but definitely not work $17 per set.

But for Woz I guess it wouldn't really matter since she gets it for free or severely discounted or she makes so much money that she simply doesn't care. Lol.

Expensive, i agree. but RPM is also expensive. did you think Revenge was better than RPM blast ? in playability .

In all honesty, I don't feel that Babolat has produced a decent poly since PHT. Revenge was a good string and had some nice feel and good touch to it (IIRC, it's been a while since I hit with it) but ultimately didn't perform the way that I wanted it to .

RPM is a complete waste of money if you ask me. Plays too much like a round poly, dies too fast, loses what little edge it has within 2 hours and drops tension quicker than Britney Spears drops her panties.

Between the two, I would play the Revenge. But only if forced to. And someone else was paying for it.

VS..........

Revenge must have great ball feel then..

I believe that CW is getting the great feel from the NG and the control from the Revenge since the stiffness index for Revenge is pretty high (277 for 17g and 302 for 16g).

Cheers, TennezSport

PHT to me has more power than RPM and holds tension little better. but RPM to me is superior in ball feel and spin and control to PHT. and YES, i do agree that RPM blast dies really quick, like in 4 hours of hitting time. That is why i was going to try the 18 G RPM blast hoping that one would last little longer or i can just break it before 4 hours is up.....:???::)

If you don't like the RPM or Revenge,,,,which Poly do you feel is better ? another manufacturer perhaps ?? Luxilon to me is just too stiff and hard to control,,,,,power is great though...

I still consider ALU Rough to be the Gold standard for poly strings. I'm hoping that Lux will update it to provide better life and tension maintenance.

However, there are some really great polys out there that aren't too harsh and are actually very nice to play with. Amongst those I would include Kirschbaum PLII, Tecnifibre BC, PHT, SP Poly Plasma, SP Tornado as being my favorites. There are several other strings that I am interested to try but refuse to do so because of my obsession with sameness and stubborness.

Revenge>RPM for me, neither "great" co-polys and def not worth the ca$h

To me,,, RPM seem little different than other polys. It had this Feel that other polys didn't have. Ball feel i mean. PHT didn't have this. Alu power didn't have this. does Revenge also have this ball feel and spin about the same ?

^ Fedace, why don't you try Lux Original? I have been a PHT/VS user forever and I'm giving a Lux Original/VS Touch hybrid a shot.

Interesting and I guess a definite case of to each his own. I found RPM to have almost no feel. Revenge was much better in that aspect. Then again, I play with full poly at 60 and find it not to be boardy.
