The 97S is so good looking, why did they have to make the 97 greyish, wish they had kept the 97 like the 97S because that was probably the one I'd most likely buy.

Both the 97S and 97 have the exact same black velvet base paint.

It's funny, I find the black/red paint jobs to be a lot more polarizing than the full-on black on black. A co-worker that hits with the ps97 right now was considering stocking up a lot on the current pj to avoid this iteration. Though I definitely think it's a turn in the more modern, wilson burn line of racquet pj, I don't mind it, but I like the current pj a bit more for the 97S.
Now I'm just wondering when they're going to bring some white back.![]()
I still want to know where I can get one of those cool black "Pro Staff" T-shirts from?
The new paintjob will look great with black strings and colorful rubber bands/dampeners and colorful overgrips
Wait, so all of the new racquets are going to be all black? I actually like the red and black pj on the 97S and 97a lot. Both the 97S and 97 have the exact same black velvet base paint.

Wilson may want to consider refunding some rec players if it ever saw how some of its RF97's are being used.
I haven't witnessed many of the lower level rec players trying to wield this racquet, is it common in other places and I just watch too many geezers?
No, I think what Peter wanted to say was, that the black part of the 97 and 97s are the same black. In the pics it seemed that the 97 was a shade lighter looking rather dark grey than black, but that is apparently a fluke in the pics and not a different color.

I hope the price of the other rackets go up so I can say the price of this is "normal," when asking my parents to buy it.

Or you can get a part-time job and pay for your own sh*t.
That RF97 sounds really really nice. Add in the PJ and you've got a really solid, attractive racquet. Wilson is going to be rolling in cash. Plus, they didn't change the spec or add any new technology (excluding the paint business). It's a solid update, the whole ProStaff line looks like it is really. Will I like it? Who knows, but I guarantee you a lot of Wilson fanatics will.
Nice job Wilson, it'll be exciting to see how the Blade and Burn lines will turn out later this year.
I don't understand why the 97LS, 97ULS and 97S have such weird string patterns, makes me feel uncomfortable to even want to try them.
Can't wait to try the new 97s and ps97.. tw playtesters said somewhere the unpredictable string bed on the ps97 should be fixed after feedback.. 2 identical shots 1 lands in service box and other shot near baseline. .. now that's what I call erratic
Btw, why there's nothing about when the release of the regular pro staffs.
Sure hope so, but how would htey do this if nothing changed but the paint?
