New Speed Pro or MP

I am 22 years old and planning to go back to tennis. I've been using YouTek Speed MP for about 8 years since i was a teenager. I was playing competitively back then (proper training 6 days a week + junior tournaments), sort of paused playing when i was about to join uni and then Covid lockdowns came. Basically became a club player played once a week in the past 3-4 years.

As i am planning to return to tennis, I am thinking an upgrade to the new Speed, but i couldn't choose between Pro and MP. I am a quite solid baseliner with double hands back hand.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, also any tips for strings? Interested in trying synthetic gut+ poly.

It depends on your idea of play - the aggressive baseliner will profit from the extra weight and control of the Pro.
The MP is rather the choice for more spin oriented or defensive players, lighter static weight and 16x19 pattern

In terms of strings - I feel like the Head Lynx or Lynx Tour works pretty well on both of them - haven't tried gut on there.

Both racquets are solid, you'll definitely notice the extra weight of the pro, so if you have whippier shots and hit with more spin then the MP might be a good way to go. If you have longer strokes and hit a bit flatter then the pro is solid. I also know of some players who have weighted up MP's quite a bit and had success. If you can't demo, I would maybe recommend the MP and you can always add weight down the road.

As far as string goes - Lynx Tour is pretty solid, and I've strung for a bunch of players that LOVE the combo of Lynx Tour mains and Velocity crosses. Velocity feels a lot better than any synthetic gut I've used.

Regardless of what direction you go in, good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions :), just checked Lynx Tour and Velocity, there are different gauges, any recommendations?

Depends on how frequently you break strings - I use 17g of both, but since I'm coaching I don't break strings a ton, and none of the players I string for do either. If you're worried about durability, then 16g is probably fine, but if you don't have a history of breaking strings a lot then 17g is a fine place to start.
