New String Hybrid Stringsetup to try (Head Speed MP)

Hey there,

im a 3.5 male player, 30 years old and NO issues with my elbow.

Im currently running a speed mp 2024 frame with a hybrid combination of Head Lynx (not tour) and Head Velocity MLT in 25/24 kg.

Im using 2 frames strung with the same setup and always switching them every time i play.
Im playing like once a week for 2-3 hours.
Im defintily NOT a string ripper. Actually ive never ever ripped a string.

My strokes are often more flat than with a lot of topspin so my main issue is that i hit the balls out in length if i go for a winner.

The reason for my setup is:
I dont like to restring my racket that often but as ive heard, monofilaments like the lynx are loosing tension really quick.
Also the lynx is not very powerful but better in control but its very balanced as a monofilament
So i combined them with a multifilament for power and tension maintenance but more on the balanced side as well (Velocity MLT)
The Setup is good but id like to try something new

Id like to still go for a hybrid setup but im thinking maybe would be a much more control and spin oriented monofilament like the head lynx tour (or any other good control / Spin string?) and on the other side a much more powerful multifilament string (maybe like tf nrg2 / x biphase?)

So im switching from a balanced mono & balanced multi to a more "extreme in both ways (Control&Spin / Power) Setup

Would this make sense?

If yes, what strings would u suggest?
And what should i string in mains / crosses at what tension?

If you want a bigger difference try a reverse hybrid with multifeel black in the mains and a stiffer poly than Lynx in the cross (hawk or lynx tour). Xone or nrg2 instead will give you more power than multifeel if thats what you want.

Your method of going Lynx tour/xone is also worth trying but more similar to your current setup.

I would not go for a hybrid of poly and multi if you dont like to restring. This hybrid needs more restringings because the different material of the strings could lead to deformation of the racket face.

I just thought, if i switch my mono from lynx to lynx tour (lynx = more power / lynx tour = more controll, spin but less power) i should compensate the lesser power in of my mono to a more powerfull multi (xone or nrg2 have more power than velocity)
Does this make sense in generel??
Whats up with the Velocity MLT Power instead of the normal velocity mlt in combination with the lynx tour? Would that be a good option?

And a generel question:
What is the difference in hybrid stringing :
Mono Mains / Multi Cross
and
Mono Cross / Multi Main

I would not go for a hybrid of poly and multi if you dont like to restring. This hybrid needs more restringings because the different material of the strings could lead to deformation of the racket face.
isnt the combination of velocity mlt & head lynx already a hybrid of poly and multi?
Im using this setup right now and played it for about 15-20hours i guess and it still seem to work fine for me
No string ripping also

Havent found this to be true, especially not if one restrings once per year.

Yeah makes sense in a way. I doubt you will get much more spin but maybe someone who tried this exact setup can comment.

And a generel question:
What is the difference in hybrid stringing :
Mono Mains / Multi Cross
and
Mono Cross / Multi Main
Mono mains more control, lower launch, less spin.
Mono crosses higher launch, more spin.

Quite string dependent though imo.
