New Technifibre T-Fight 2025

These are matching results for Tecnifibre 305S. Which two would you choose?

I was thinking #3 and #5 as the swingweight is high as possible and the balance is almost the same.

Not sure how they tested the stiffness but I wonder if 1 point is detectable in practice?

3 and 5. I've added 2g to 10&2 and 3g to 3&9 to mine. Didn't know TW europe had this service, don't mention it anywhere. Onkohan tuttu kaveri kysees :D
It’s funny. They tell you due to the widened beam at 3 and 9, no lead is needed there. Yet it probably felt the best in that location with a small bump at 11 and 1.

My previous 305S had swingweight of 292 and I'm pretty happy with it. Whippier frame on hard courts is of course always nice but with the clay season incoming I'm thinking heftier swingweight might be nice.
It's still around 315-320 with strings added when the unstrung sw is 290

Yeah, thank's for the input. I'll order #3 and #5.

They have the info on their site but ordering the service is not the most customer friendly experience. You have to place the order, pay via bank transfer and then send email you want the matching service. They then will update the payment info for the wire transfer and after the payment will send the info. I don't know why on earth they can't add the matching service to their web store to be paid right away with the rest of the stuff and then send the info via email.

Ja ramb enpä osaa sanoa hehe.

Isn't roughly 290 the default for the 305s, with strings then adding around 25-30 points depending on brand/model, and gauge.

Yes I'd say that's the goal spec for this model. Tennis Warehouse University Lab Data mentions SW of 324 and stiffness of 62 or 63

I've had a demo of the 305s for the last couple of weeks. Strung RPM mains and a round slick poly cross with 4grams added at 12. It's a solid stick and I've really enjoyed it, so much so I'm going to buy two this weekend. I'll get them matched but I want to add leather grips. Any advice on a good brand that won't add too much weight? I've use Gamma before. Does anyone know what the stock technifibre grip weighs? Part of my rationale for a switch is a lighter stick so whilst I want the stability of a leather grip I don't want to add too much additional weight.

So regarding the leather grip: I may have gotten it off spec but tecnifbre’s leather is on sale and only added about 5.5-6 grams from the normal base synthetic.

From memory the stock grip weighed circa 18 g

No talk at all of the T-Fight 285 in here, which could be interesting for those that want more of a platform stick, but with a softer 63 RA vs the 65 of the 300. A larger sweet spot 18" vs 16" in TW charts, and a lower balance point which is unusual for a lighter stick. Sounds ripe for customisation.

Haha the QC grip issues. Mine was around 15 grams. It wouldn’t surprise me.
When I added the TF leather grip it wasn’t much so I’m unsure if I just got an underspec one or they don’t make them as heavy.
Ye it doesn't surprise me! I think mine was something like 17.6 and 18.2 g (give or take!)

The 305S is technically a platform stick lol

Thinking the same but 305s somehow make me uncomfortable. Will wait for some time and buying it 2nd hand, costumize it and see how it goes.

On my rookie hand, 305s feel sufficiently comfort when paired with mach 10 fullbed, but i find it lacking in other stat.

This racket is quite string sensitive. A soft poly opens up the sweet spot. Mach 10 or Msv focus hex soft work in this frame.

Or thinner gauges

What strings do you advise? I put RPM mains poly tour pro cross at 50lb in the demo stick. It played great but I'm mindful some people have reported discomfort; I’m generally not arm sensitive but randomly the Ezone 98 gave me a bad shoulder last year. I’m picking two 305s up today but dropping tension 48lb main 46lb cross to open it up.

Wonder if they're discontinuing the T-fight 315 16x19 ... it seems to be on clearance in most of Europe. Aside from static weight it seems almost identical spec to the new Fire 305.

Also, have people heard when the updated white cosmetic launches, to match the design direction of the red ones and the new Fire?

Just drop tension. Most things will be comfortable at around 42lbs. Even Razor Soft White 1.20 at that tension will start to feel plush.

Dropping tension isn't a very good idea if you are flat hitter and launch angle control is critical for your game. Makes the string bed too lively, at least for my game isn't a good move. And if you are not a flatter hitter T-fight 305s isn't best option. Sure it's doable but if you control depth with top spin plenty of racquets that make more sense.

I’m kinda over the white cosmetic at the moment.
Also has anyone noticed: there’s two red stripes under the 305S to put lead…I did put weight there and when removed, it took the red paint off…hahaha

My advice is to search for another racket like I’m doing lol but I’m mainly hitting my xtc tfights.
I’ve played around with this 305S for so long bc of my history using this line.

To me the discomfort is sweet spot is super small compared the past lines. The widened beam does not make it stable. It’s a platform racket.

Take my string advice with a grain of salt bc it really is sensitive. Msv focus hex soft or go to a thinner gauge of what you’re used to.

I’m trying the new vcore 100D when I get the demo shortly. I have a history with 16x20’s before playing 18x19. As I’m getting older and currently dealing with foot and knee issues that hinder my movement, I might want one of these sticks with a thicker beam, more forgiveness so I don’t have to swing as hard to generate a ball that hits the service box lol.

I think the issue with discomfort on some of these frames is overall low flex mush feel. With this 305S, I would advise not using a leather if you have issues. While I’m not sensitive to tennis elbow, the feel in hand is just odd and on this frame really gives you that disgusting rectangular shape that irritates my hand and yes you feel every single vibration so this is technically raw.
If you don’t add weight, at least for me, you’re working harder to penetrate the court and that could tire your arm out.
It’s one thing to state players on tour are going “lighter” on swing weight. But from my POV, 18M rackets need higher SW bc they’re control oriented, thinner beam, etc to offer some plow. 305G static, to me this should have been 32cm 298-301 SW unstrung. Oh wait they accomplished that with the xtc :D  :p

Probably one of my issues is that I'm imbetween. Not much out there with a lower RA, larger sweet spot, and still as fast through the air, while remaining as head light.

Would you guys recommend the 305s for a 3.5 player? I’m in my 30s and started playing tennis a few years so my technique isn’t really dialed in. When I hit good shots, they’re great, but I’m super inconsistent.

bit late for that I bought two of them today, haha! QC was pretty decent. Both rackets 323 static strung bang on. 330 grip replaced with a trimmed leather. Overgrip and 3g lead at 10/8 I'm in at 337g 7 points headlight. Dropped the tension to 46lb. Not sure on SW but I'll measure this when I get a chance. I put about 10 hours on the demo and really enjoyed this stick, played some good tennis with it. I'm coming from heavily customised percepts which were getting a little wieldy at 348g; particularly when playing tournaments and getting into match tie breaks - doubling singles/dubs matches etc.

Try before you buy is my best advice.
Hopefully with a string set up you like. If you like the racket try to document the spec you get on demo.

My ask is what are you using and what’s prompting you to switch to the 305S? I’m about a 4.5 player and I’m not a fan of the update.

My bad! I should have been more clear. I’m actually using the 305s right now. At 3.5, I feel like I’m just not skilled or consistent enough for this yet and should be getting something more forgiving/bigger head size.

I mean I’ve been at a 4.5 level. Been playing for years. I don’t think this racket is for me either to be honest.
You can try low tensions, thinner strings, adding lead tape to open up the sweet spot maybe.

I just had the luxury being on a playtest to obtain the racket and tried making it work to my liking.

I wonder if the Roland garros cosmetic is just for the tfight 300 again. The spring festival was tfight 300 only and the blue id was 300 + 305s (exclusive at TW)

If you can try the 300. Much easier to play, bit more power & spin, good control and the same great tfight feel.

Looking to switch to TFight 300 or 300s after 2 years on Tempo 298. I'm a level 3.5 female player, mostly baseline. I've enjoyed the Tempo 298 a lot, and thinking about switching because I wonder if I could bring more power to my game. Any suggestions on 300 or 300s? Thank you!!

Having played with the 285 recently, I'm not sure there's going to be much difference between the 300 and 300s despite the head size. All models seem to feel a bit hollow compared to the old RS line, but are much more controlled.

I just took up the 300 after maining the Steam 100 prior and the amount of additional power and control is amazing. I guess the 300s could be more maneuverable, but my OHBH is improved, even with a balance of just 4 points HL, and given the light swingweight can't imagine what more one could want, so appreciate the extra forgiveness of the 100 inch headsize.

Do we know this isn't another Python, axis, aero etc?

Per Jonas from Tennisnerd, "When people see a blacked-out racquet these days, their thoughts immediately seem to go to the Wilson Python, but in this case, I have heard from reliable sources that it is a prototype racquet from Tecnifibre. It seems like all brands need a controlled-spin racquet like the Aero 98 these days, as players on the ATP tour seem to crave it."

Just bought a limited edition black and white Tfight 300 in Switzerland.... looks great and will string it with babolat xalt.... any view on the 300? Looks like 90% of people on this forum play the 305s....

Tfight 300 user for about 5 months now. Really like this frame. Moved from blade V9 100. Tfight 300 has more power and better feel. In absolute terms it loses a bit on control compared to blade 100. For me personally even control ends up at about the same level with blade. Since tfight 300 has more power I can put in little less effort and have a more relaxed swing, this in term helps with control. Forehand is my best shot and there the two racquet are close, for every other shot and situation I get more help and am better off with tfight.
Also tried 305s and enjoyed it. But at the end of the day I played much better with 300. Actually quite surprised at how little attention this frame gets. Suspect that a lot of people on talk tennis that try tfight 305s and give up might really like the 300 if they tried it.
