Any 'multi' structured string by Tecnifibre is very interesting! Can't say the same about poly's, but they do make some of the best multi's today.

Not sure this string is Hepta Twist/Tornado knock off to be honest. According to some wise guys at stringforum.net Tecnifibre have made 2 new machines specially made to produce this string only, so Tecnifibre is making this string themselves and not just buying it out of town and renaming it.
It sound like a string I would consider as cross string in my nat gut mains hybrid if string movement is on par with other polys......
Interesting to see how the spin numbers are - but this string supposedly play very soft and with a lot of feel for a poly - and tension maintenance is among the best ever for a poly string

It sounds like tecnifibre is revolutionizing the string industry. Kind of like Prince recoil and Wilson Hollowcore said they would when they first came out. Hopefully, they will give out samples. Lots of them

I may be a naive loyal true Tecnifibre fan, but somehow I have LOTS OF RESPECT for a new innovative flagship poly string from Tecnifibre.
I don't have the same respect for Prince and Wilson strings, especially knowing that Wilson gets all their nat gut from Babolat and lots of their multis from Tecnifibre and probably now all their polys from Luxilon.........
Tecnifibre makes the best multi strings in the world - by a large margin to number 2, and they shell out the cash to make their own stringing machines for the production, so I have a good feeling about this new X-Code copoly string. Feel free to laugh at me, if this string turns out to be just another gimmick string.......
I look forward to testing it in November and December and see if it plays well with VS Team nat gut mains.....

I'd be looking forward to trying this. I think Tecnifibre makes some of the best strings around, but I am pretty happy with the Mantis stuff and I am tired of trying strings. Will definitely follow it though.

We tested this string back in April and found it to play very well for a poly string. Very comfortable for a poly string but still plays with lots of control. Tec was still working on the mixture to try and extend the life.

Breakage is still IMHO an issue. Only 6 hours on my Prince Ignite. Usually I have to cut monofilaments after 12 hours.

I got 2 sets from my local shop and broke both at 7 and 8 hour mark. Strange thing cuz i RARELY break strings. I strung them @ 26/25 kg on my pdr and pdgt (i think i'll stay with multis on this frames). Found lots and lots of control (could have strung it lower easily) and nice pop. My shoulder was ok which was a priority. I'll order another set and put it on my rdis300. Should get even more control, still nice power and maybe gain some durability. I'll string it lower, thinking 24/23kg.

Well just received the new Tec X.Code string here in 17 (1.25) and 16 (1.30)g. Strung a PS6.1 95 up with the 17g (1.25) and it stung very easy, almost like a regular multi. Little coil memory and did not feel that stiff after stringing but SBS came in at 58lbs (26.3kgs) as set by the ref tension. The string is very soft and has a slight sticky feeling to the touch. This may cause early breakage as Pepka states as the CoF(Coeff of Friction) should be very high (string will burn with heavy TS strokes). Will get a chance to test it out tomorrow night. Tec changed this string from the one that we tested back in April, as that string was much stiffer than this one.

Ordered a couple of sets for the novelty value, should be arriving tomorrow so will probably string in up next week.
Crazy expensive string though - its x2.5 more expensive than 200m reels of other very good polys.
This string had better be amazing and last fair amount of time to justify the price premium.....

I have seen it listed on multiple US based retailers with an in-stock date listed as September (next week).
I suspect ClubHoUno may have seen the US release date quoted as I have always found him to be a good poster.

I've just strung up 1.25 gauge @ 55lbs in a 300 Tour. Out of the packet it feels soft - like a synthetic gut or multifilament. Nothing like the stiffness of a typical poly at all. Very easy to string - very little coil memory. Much easier to string that a normal poly. It has a odd almost rubberised texture to it which is unlike any string I've handled before. We're not talking smooth shiney poly here at all. Will see how it plays over the next couple of days....
Comments after 2 hours of hitting this evening:
(55lbs 18x20 300T). Don't get too excited though because it plays just like a soft co-coly - if you can imagine a slightly 'rubberised' version of BlackCode that would be fairly accurate description. It doesn't play or feel like a multifilament such as Xcel, but is comfortable albeit with a slightly dampened 'rubberised' feel to it.
The string seems to 'wake up' the harder you hit the ball. Its definitely not a crisp feeling string but you get a little bit more crispness the harder you hit it, and more of the 'rubberiness' disappears. It's definitely unusual - the feel changes the harder you hit the ball. For a poly, it's good for touch shots, drop shots and more feel that your typical poly. It definitely doesn't offer the 'bite' of the best polys on the market though (or even some poly hybrids for that matter). Having said that I do think that Tecnifibre have achieved what they set out to achieve - a half way house between a synthetic gut and a poly.
If you were to blend the characteristics of Gosen OG Micro 1.22 with BlackCode 1.25, add some 'rubber' into the mixture, you'd probably end up with something like X-Code 1.25. This might sound strange but it reminds me a bit of the rubber suspension bushes you get on cars in terms of how it feels - there's definitely a slight 'rubbery' feeling element to it when you hit the ball. I guess that's what Technifibre mean by comfort. I'll do a more detailed review once I've spent another day hitting with hit.
