New to me arrivals this week ..info and opinions sought.

Recently arrived and yet to be cleaned up trio of rackets.
My first Yamaha which came paired with an unwanted gaudy paint job Slazenger - plus a Ceramic Slazenger previously unknown to me.
The Yamaha XAM4 looks classy with its metallic light purple and salmon & white paint job.
Has original cover and leather grip.

The racket feels well made and reminds me of my Head "Edge Series" graphite rackets.
Any idea of production dates ?

The paired Slazenger has snappy title of challenge Comp 90 Wide Body.

Paint job on this reminds me of a kids racket but this is definitely a men`s racket due to grip size.
Crazy wide beam .
Late 1980`s /early 90`s ??
KFA stamped on butt but no country of manufacture visible.
Last one is a Slazenger Panther Pro Ceramic with the Jimbo signature.
I only bought it out of curiosity really as I knew little about Connor`s rackets other than his famed T2000 and I liked his tenacious spirit if not his style of play so much.

This racket made in England-date unknown.
Named Pro Ceramic but Graphite in higher percentage than ceramic construction ?

The rackets will all get a new overgrip but the only likely contender for a re-string if necessary would be the Yamaha I think if Ilike the feel of it after a hit or two.
Looks very classy.
Thanks in advance for any info/comments.

I kinda like the Slazenger radical late 80s-early 90s paint job lol.

And the Jimbo badged Spazengers are from 1987-89. There was a same named racket made in West Germany during that time as well.

The Slazenger is from the Challenge series ..feels pretty well balanced and head size just slightly larger than the Yamaha.
It will be interesting to have a hit with it though.
Just about to get the soapy water and give the bags and rackets a clean up.
I normally colour match new overgrips with string colour or paint job..not sure if I have the balls to fit a bubblegum pink grip to this one though :)

The Xams are through the early 80s. About 1982-86. They look great to me, but I'm not sure about the performance.

The Challenge Wide-Bodies are late 80s early 90s as you said. Contemporaneous to the Dunlop Impact series, and before the Mystique Fan-String rackets of 1992ish. Bit of a weird period for Dunlop/Slazenger as after the 200G as they didn't have much Pro success with their wide-bodies. Sold well in the UK though, because they were good value.

I`m going to get my Yamaha XAM4 restrung.
I like the racket but I think it still has the original string and it`s pretty dead feeling.
Does anyone know the Yamaha suggested tension range for the racket or can suggest a good range from playing experience please.
I was thinking in the range of 48-50lbs.
I don`ttend to play with a huge backswing on my strokes if that has a bearing on tension recommendation.
Thanks for any guidance

I have a copy of Pro Kennex Ki-10g SMI(the same form of Dual taper beam 18-24-25 and characteristics) and the paint is similar, but it says Select tour and everything \ - maybe a fake, 18*20, DOES ANYONE KNOW?? Thank
Where can I find grommets for Ki\ - 10g SMI 18*20?
