New to the whole "hybrid" idea

If i wanted to use an expensive multi, but save some $$. Would putting a syn gut like psgd help the multi last longer or multi in the crosses/psgd mains?

I want to only use multi or a syn gut, no kevlar/poly

IMHO - there's no reason to hybrid a multi.

I've played with Poly/Synth hybrids before, and I used a hybrid pattern to provide a slightly softer stringbed than just using full poly, so I got some of the benefits as far as control and spin goes, but a less harsh feeling.

I don't think most people hybrid to save cash.

In your case, if you string a multi in the mains and a synth gut in the crosses, it may actually decrease the life of the multi if the synth gut saws through the multi.
