These specs look pretty awesome. Heavier version has a stock leather grip. Knowing Volkl, even the lighter one with the 70 RA will probably be pretty comfy.

Not sure what will happen to the "real" mids (the pb10 and O10)! I hope Volkl will continue making them. Besides, that paint job on the 330 is so ugly (all yellow) while the one on the 320 looks really awesome.
 
Hmmm good looking spec range. too bad I am enjoying Yonex for now, maybe if they get good reviews.
A 70RA volkl 10 would be intersting to see if it is arm comfy with some extra pop.
That yellow is atrocious, I prefer my clothes garish and racquet classy.
 
I love my Becker London tour mid... what is that 92? 93?

That Becker is great frame so the Volkls have great design genes.

I need to snag a Pacific X Feel Pro 90 someday too.
 
330G which has fluorescent yellow color with red graphic is unmatched with its character. It looks like a cheap bigginer racquet.
320G which has black color with red graphic is much better. It looks like Babolat Pure Strike.

Interesting they'll have two versions of the 'mid'. Specs looking good, for me especially the 330 version. The new addition of stock leather grip is a big plus.

I personally consider anything 93 and below to be a mid, but perhaps the actual head size is in reality smaller.

the 10g difference between the two is likely due to the heavier volkl leather grip on the 330. Since i cant stand that bumble bee color, i'll just replace the grip to leather on the 320g.

Good to know the difference but I will stick to 320.
330 is too heavy for me.

They are balanced the same and swing weight is higher on the 330; so the 330 has to have more mass in the head. The layup must also be different due to the stiffness differential. It also appears that Volkl is using different pins in the two versions which will provide different feedback. I think the PJ on the 330 could grow on me, good to see something different, albeit loud.

For sure the weight difference isn't only due to the leather grip. If so, you'd expect very similar swingweights and stiffnesses, and the 330 should have a more headlight balance.

I think I could get used to the fluorescent yellow color. Throw in some yellow YPTP, and your opponent won't have any idea where the ball is at contact :P.
 
From the old 93 to a new 96 isn't a huge change, but then again the difference between a 96 and the 98s they have isn't that much either. Not sure what to make of that choice.

Let's just hope the nomenclature doesn't get as muddled as Prince. Mid, Midplus, and then Midplus+ lol.

I've played around a lot with the PB10 Mid, so I am very interested in this offering. Because of that I have been combing over the pics of the frame that are available out there on the web. It looks like the bridge on the throat is shaped in a V so that could account for at least 1 sq. inch.
 
Yes, I love the leather and the flex rating of the heavy one but it comes out at 349 without overgrip and dampener, so it's out for me.

Volkl racquets do not play to anywhere near the numbers in terms of comfort. I would recommend not ruling it out until you actually play it. Also, the color of the pins in the handles dampening system indicate different degrees of dampening. This is separate and distinct from the frames measured stiffness.
 
The RED pin which both new 10 Mid have is the softest for maximum comfort but I will wait for TW review before deciding to buy one.
 
I wonder why they didn't make the heavier racquet black and lighter one yellow?...in keeping with the coloring patterns of the other SG10's and X10's.
 
If people stop producing new 'mids' then if some sort of classification is necessary then one does need to redefine the scale,

but I think at the moment the most it's necessary to go would be to define racquets 95 and under as mids.
 
I just got mine and strung it up. I haven't hit with it yet. The fit and finish are excellent. It is a bright optic yellow color.
 
How is a 96 sq. inch racquet a "mid".

This is a marketing term; recall the Wilson Pro Staff midplus at 95 sq. inch.
