New Volkl String -massive spin

Another question, can it be strung crosses at 60lbs without any issue?
Probably some of it depends on the gauge. I tried the 1.20 thickness and when pulling tension to 53 pounds, it stretches **a lot** and then necks down and becomes really thin, and it looked thinner than a 1.20 to start with. It only lasted about four hours before notching through and breaking.

Probably a much thicker gauge could handle 60 pounds but usually materials that are as elastic as V-Square won't stretch evenly under that much tension, so you'll possibly get some thin spots and some thick spots.

I guess I have to test it out.

I got in a few sets of vsquare, strung up a 17. Felt really thick in gauge like a 16. The edges are SHARP, when I was fanning and pulling crosses through the strings were cutting very fine ribbons of plastic off the edges. Curious to see how it plays, should be a spin monster.

Interested in your thoughts. i tried the 16, seemed like a 1.35. I prefer the Cyclone Tour 16 to it. Better feel, more comfort, about the same spin for me.

I tried this string in a 17 gauge. I thought it was more stiff than I expected, and less comfortable. But it had massive amounts of spin potential and it was very low powered. I think players looking for high spin and low power will like this one as long as you are not bothered by the string bed stiffness. If you are coming from a Lux Original or 4G you will like it.
