New vs old TF40 18x20

What's the difference if you've played with both?

I've recently decided to switch to the old tf40 18x20 that I purchased a year ago. Looking to get a couple of more and considering the new version because I thought it might be better? Did some search into older threads but didn't find many comparisons other than the feel is slightly different (and there are conflicting opinions on whether it became more crisper/muted).

Unfortunately my local store doesn't have a 18x20 demo. I'll try out the 16x19 version in the mean time but I likely won't switch to it given that I came from a pure strike 16x19 and liked the directional control and better slice of the 18x20 pattern.

Update: I was told by someone from Tecnifibre (at the TW shop at Indian Wells) that there is no difference at all between the old and the new versions because this is one of their pro stock racquets.

Now I'm questioning my decision to switch seeing everyone trying to get rid of it lol.

Just to clarify, I'm interested in hearing the difference before I decide to get more of the old version. A bit more power, for example, would be nice because I feel a bit tired generating my own power after 2 sets.

Thank u all for the offers though. Will definitely reach out if I decide to go with more v1s.

I'm not trying to "get rid" of mine. It's actually the 2nd favorite racquet I played with in the last couple years, I just decided to stick to one model and stop with looking for some magic that just isn't there.

Anyway, I'm sure you can easily pick up old model racquets and not have to think old vs new.

The weight in the hoop made it hard on my shoulder. And it's the kind of racquet you really need to swing hard. So I tore my rotator cuff.

Trust me, you're better off not knowing!

Head Gravity Pro
I'll be fine lol. I'm planning on demoing the new auxetic version once it comes out anyway because I liked it in the speed pro although I likely won't like the 100 head for my ohbh.
