Hey guys

I have both the current version of the 18x20 blade 98 (2015 version) and the previous all black model, both grip size 3. I don't know if its just me but is the grip on the new model a lot thicker? I've put tournagrip over both rackets and the older models grip feels so much more thin whereas the current model feels more cushiony but a lot thicker. Is it meant to be like this, and if so what was the reasoning?

Thanks guys

On your older racquet the grip probably got squished from you playing with it for a longer time. Otherwise both grips are supposed to be the same.

That, and QC. When I grabbed an XT Speed Pro, the first 4 3/8 felt like a 4 1/2. It actually measured very close to it as well. One felt slightly smaller than a 4 3/8, and measured slightly smaller, so the quality control is all over the place with these.

Yep, that ...

If you got a caliper, measure the cross section of the handle on both sticks.
Probably time to replace the grip on the old frame.
