New Yonex Vcore? 2026?

Hi, does anyone have information on when the new generation of Vcore will be released? The latest one came out in 2023...

Thanks

That's right, you should already know something. I ask you why I would like to get this racket but if in a few months the new generation comes out then I'll wait.
Anyone have any news?

What are people looking for in possible changes and updates to the frame? I’m hoping they return it back to a 16x20 to limit some of the launchiness of the previous rendition and possibly a bump in the swing weight compared to the current 318.

- Revert to the 2021 hoop shape (get rid of the goofy excessive tear-drop that opens the upper pattern too much and lopsides the 12-to-6 symmetrical consistency too much).
- Retain the 2023 beam widths.
- Move to 16x20 in all models, or at least the 98.
- Toss VDM in the dumpster where it belongs, and revert to proper solid-state-only layup additives, to restore feel.
- Keep the RA in the mid-60's where it should be, on all models.
- Put a proper colorway on it, instead of the Playmobil mess that is the '25 EZone.
- Finish it properly with gloss, ala the 2015 SV's and prior.

Ready Yoneyama & Sons? Execute!

Excellent wishlist!

The RA I agree should be in the mid to even mid high. I’m not saying there shouldn’t be softer frames on the market but the whole trend of these companies pushing for extremely low RA’s has really altered the landscape.

I think their previous colorways have been fine minus the blue, it’s always been a red frame, some black/silver accents or partial color is fine but why the random light blue??

Have to agree on the gloss as a whole, companies just don’t use it as much as they used to.

Did you have a favorite Vcore out of all the generations?

I would have to say overall, the swing physics of the 2021 (Gen 6), combined with the direct/unfiltered feel, 16x20 and WAY better black/red+gloss paint job of the 2015 SV (Gen 4).

And apparently at least Fonseca would agree, as he's using a 2021 98 mold with the 16x20 drill pattern from the SV98, for better facial consistency and precision. A total no-brainer IMHO.

I really like the 2023 version so I’d be very much against many of the suggestions being made here. I think the 2023 VC98 is an excellent frame.
Actually, i was just starting to write something similar. In my case, I like both the VC98 & 100 2023. Paintjob fine to discuss even though I do not dislike it, also liked the Sand version but frames as such are excellent.

I wish they get rid of stupid looking erratic upper hoop. I don't want my racket look like villain called megamind

I absolutely love the tear drop head shape. I play with the 100. All they need is not use that silicone oil infused stuff, just implement the wider hole grommet or things like the Aero or Dunlop SX line. That silicone oil stuff lost it's magic very quickly. First 2 months the racquet ate string like buffet, now strings don't move well at all.

Maybe even a little more power and launch angel

Go back to red and white colours from the first gen Vcore

There was a photo going around of an unreleased gunmetal grey VC100 with yellow accents version floating around. It looks so much better than the current pj.

Seriously, mostly black with flecks of red (VCore), blue (EZone), green (Percept) is preferable in my mind.

Yonex head shape automatically sets it apart from every other brand. Then it's a matter of which silo.

I'd be happy if they just reverted to the 2021 version with a new paint job... soo annoyed I didnt grab a few more 98's before they sold out and the new version came out

Now why would they revert back to the 2021 version if the 2023 version is a bigger hit?

And as far as grabbing a few more, the ‘ E auction’ site is your friend as well as the ‘sell and trade’ thread on here

I also enjoyed the '21 version the best. Sad I sold them after a honeymoon with the '23. I think Emma Navarro likes the '21 best as well.
As far as paint jobs go, the current Vcore red and ezone blue are very polarizing. While they are very recognizable and can be spotted from far away, they look like cheap toy rackets. They do not look high end, which they actually are.

I found the ’21 too fluttery at the top of the head, as well as somewhat stiffer/harsher feeling overall; I guess that I must hit the ball above centre pretty routinely? I find the ’23 is perfect for me.

I would like a stiffer 98. In the 2023 generation the 100 is perfect tweener as it is, but the 98 is too low-powered for a spin-oriented racquet. It could be a great contestant against the Aero 98 with the added stability and pop

Vcore Tour F is the best Yonex paint job I’ve ever seen. Too bad the 16x21 in a stiff frame doesn’t really work :(
I disagree on the paintjob and I own two of them. The frame wasnt that stiff but also depends on the strings too. When I strung mine, I didn’t string that extra cross cause I felt like it wasnt necessary

The glittery fingerprint in the negative space is the bees knees. Top tier subtle feature.
Can’t believe you don’t like it.
What do you like then?

I demoed that when it first came out, really wanted to like it, but was very board-y feeling.

At the same time, I demoed the EZAi98, which I thought my wife might like. She said I played better with the EZAi than the Tour F, but she couldn't get used to the isometric shape.

Upon returning the demos to TW, I ordered two EZXi98 that were on closeout for $100 US each. Still playing with them today.

To each their own. I loved the galaxy black vcore paintjob and the 2020 Osaka ezone paintjob. Right now I have two of the 2023 vcore in sand beige which is my favorite to date

Galaxy black is just black…the special edition 2020 is an art piece.

In a huge Yakuza fan, wish they did the Osaka on on the VCP.

The sand one is DOPE but doesn’t look good being swung through the air

Idk if you need to check out the frame again but the Galaxy Black isn’t just “black” It has details on there but grey and subtle. As for the 2020 Pixel, that one was nice

But the one I’m talking about is only white with hints of gold. You’re talking about the 2022 which her sister designed for her

Since when does a racquet have to look good while swinging through the air? Would you say the same thing if the whole racquet was pink? lol The only thing matters is if you’re playing well with it

Here is my prediction based on the EZONE release:

-keep same 2023 hoop shape (i like this)
-thicker beam at 12/3/9, which stiffens the face of the frame
-throat remains the same and gets minolon (softened) so net ra is the same
-orangy red colour (like how current EZ is blurple, this will be rorange)
-keep vdm
-add one new spin gimmick tech

Here is what I want
-keep same 2023 hoop shape
-thicker beam at 12/3/9, which stiffens the face of the frame
-add 16x20 pattern with uniform density
-no vdm, servo filter instead
-no minolon
-RA 65 strung
-darth maul glossy paint

Another potential prediction is: goodbye VC95, hello VC98D, which is 310g VC98 with 16x20 pattern while the normal VC98 has 305g and 16x19

I can definitely see them thickening the beam by a small margin and keeping the grommets red but I wouldn’t think they add in orange to the red but make the red slightly deeper with hints of scarlet. Definitely would want them to take out the stupid hint of blue which doesn’t make any sense

I second the VC95 being gone too (made a thread about it) and being replaced by a VC98D with 16x20 and 310g unstrung with Fronseca endorsing it. So with that being said, we’d have a VC98 305g, VC98D 310g and VC98T 315g

*Maybe and this is a big maybe the VC95 will become the Percept 95D ala Wawrinka as “his signature racquet” similar to the Speed Legend, Pure Aero Rafa and RF01 Pro

For example the last 2 TF40 releases loose all its details when being swung. The first gen tho, the colour blocking is exquisite.

Same with gravity pros, the new ones look great in hand but not as much compared old (2 face) ones being flung through the air

I agree colour doesn’t really matter. One of my favourite frames in a certain blue I’m not the bossy fan of lmao, but I can’t stand yellow sticks in the corner of my eye.

You have the sales figures to backup that claim?

I have 2 or 3 rackets from each manufacturer. The Vcore 95 2023 is my favorite out of all my rackets. I had fun playing around with the Diadem Axis 98 since I hate the feel of the Aero, and the Japanese Prince rackets, but as soon as it was time for sectionals again I switched right back to the Vcore 95. Almost perfect racket imo. First racket I havent modded,

-Gloss paint please, I love the Blade Pro and the new Gravity with its gloss paint
-I like soft muted rackets, but just the smallest dial up on the feel and stiffness, like the smallest increment you could do would be great
-I like the spacing of the sweet spot squares in the 2023 as opposed to the 2021. Not sure how it feels on the 98, but on the 95 it feels amazing with the ever so slightly bigger squares, dont change this!!!
