-Angelique Kerber with the new 2021 vcore
The PJ for the SV98 was my favorite in terms of the glossy finish. The Tour F was a great one too! I honestly like the Cool Black PJ from JPN, very nice touch with the silver at the top. Just for some fun info, my 285g SV98 specs are: 331g/11.6oz (for now) strung w/ OG, dampener, silicone in the buttcap (6g), and lead underneath the grip (5g) and at 12 o’clock (8g for now) I don’t know balance or SW just yet.The blue/red on these new Vcores are definitely growing on me over time, but the SV98 glossy finish is probably my favorite PJ of all time, and the lite version is a fantastic platform frame. Bummer that Yonex seems to have abandoned the glossy PJ altogether. I'm debating on just picking up a couple more SV98 lites on the auction site over the new Vcore while they're still out there at a discounted price, and I've also been eyeing the Cool Black PJ in Japan while they last as well.
I really like the look of that one.I just got the new Vcore 98 and 100 and the design is.... different! The blue really makes them look like a christmas ornament, as a good friend to me so nicely put it. Very very very strange choice and i dont really understand the idea behind that blueish part of the frame. It´s a very bold move by yonex to make it like this on the Vcore, but they actually had a similar designelement already on their Ezone Ai frames:
I’m not following you. How does thicker beam make a frame more stable? It’s the weight, and where it is placed that affects the stability.-you dont think a thicker frame would make these sticks more stable??
-IMO these (old vcore line) were too light on their own!
-im hoping that thicker-frame/beam = means more material = more weight !!??!!I’m not following you. How does thicker beam make a frame more stable? It’s the weight, and where it is placed that affects the stability.
.............
Damn! Not 16x19
Specs don't look too different.
This is my main guess as well. I'll be curious to see RA.I love the VC95 due many factors, including feel, beam and look. A slightly thicker beam maybe a bit more stable but the blue on the frame I didnt understand.. would be curious about feel and RA, knowing Yonnex, I am guessing they will make it a bit stiffer, similar to 95D or SV...
Paint job color is called....
Galaxy w/ the blue accents would look sweet.nonono... I really tried to like the paintjob but it's terrible. Please Yonex, Galaxy edition ASAP!!
When’s the preorder? We have started playtesting! Look for reviews when the product launches in January.
Thanks,
Brittany, TW
Yep. I would probably buy a 95, but only if they offer a different paint scheme.nonono... I really tried to like the paintjob but it's terrible. Please Yonex, Galaxy edition ASAP!!
Horrible looking paintjob.

BTW, the SV s also had a bit of teal in their design. Just a very tiny bit, but it was there. I don’t care about the paintjob by the way, I’m staying with my SV95 anyway, but I think it is interesting that a racquet can attract so much discussion just because of some little splashes of teal... lol.

Not too sold on the beam width of the 98, will probably just stick to the galaxy 98...
Plays great with tour bite soft and is at a level of comfort my wrist can handle...
The 95 on the other hand, if it is a bit more powerful than the previous version while keeping the same feeling it could well be interesting.
Any news on if there will be extended length versions for this new vcore line?
The SV98 was extremely stiff. And this is coming from someone who has used stiff frames in the past (Pure Control Swirly, Hyper ProStaff 6.1, etc). And I am also a fan of 16x20.Wish I tried the SV98. I wanna try the VCore 98 in the 16x20. Only the 95 is 16x20 still
doesn't look as flamboyant in the video as the stock photos would suggestNew 2021 VCore. Mostly red, some burgundy, and a kiss of sky blue.
This. Most important thing is to see the racket live, pictures and ads are so photoshopped and filtered these days. If the racket feels good, nobody cares about the outlook.
You can buy the weight you want, at $300+. The Japan only Yonex custom fit service has can build you one that's 310g +/- 2g at 310mm, which is a perfect basic frame to customize. It's like Angell lite, but with the Yonex QC! I will be hitting with the VC98/100 2021 this week. Will see how much it has changed from the previous 2 versions. It would be nice if they came out with a tour 315g version this time. Also a little more flex.
You want gloss ? You got it :
Is it me, or do those look more orange than red?You want gloss ? You got it :
I'm confused now. So is Yonex offering these frames in both matte and gloss or what? You want gloss ? You got it :
